regarding the Recent visitors rollup, that saves interface space at the top, Something I am in favor of.

Huh? All they did was shrink the text a bit and move it to the right, there is no reason for the link to be crammed up by the ads. I swear, If I click an ad instead of recent visitors one more time, I'll probably murder someone.
As with NixNot, I don't see how putting the link on the right saves place. It's also very annoying to click it to open it on the right, then have to go close it over on the left.

I'd also really like to have my forum links on the bottom of the page again. That was really really nice.

Aside from that, I'd have to agree that the new look is both goofy and takes up more space. I don't really care though, all I care about are my links.

How to satisfy zam.com customers:

1. Take away a small but useful feature that they use.
2. Give it back when they complain.

****, if I were you I'd just randomly start commenting/uncommenting code. You could double your business in a week.

Another thing to note about the template that is still annoying.. there is no silver bar at the end of thread lists, only a starting one. When viewing posts there are both the starting and ending silver bars though.

Anything on this? Or do I have to live without the forum thread listings being finished?

The main thing that I miss is the line telling you if you have a new PM, also serving as a link to your inbox.

There is one at the top of every page that should say "Welcome Fynlar, Private Messages"

Yeah, but from what I remember it doesn't change to "You have 1 new PM" or whatever it says when I get a new PM, meaning I have to click it to check to see if I even have one or not. XD

Oh god, I'm so trivial and lazy. I should be drug out to the street and shot.

Agreed on the PMs. I get them so rarely, I just know I'll never bother to check now.

Oh, it does say that?

Still, I wish it were a little bit closer to the thread/post listings, which is where I actually spend most of my time focusing my browser/eyes on (naturally)

Except on the rare occasion that I do get them, like last summer during all the giveaways for working on the wiki, etc. They're rare enough that they tend to be important when they happen, and checking all the time is a bit of a pain.

On the FFXI template there's no silver bar on the bottom of the thread list because the silver bar is a background to the forum header, and generally headers only appear at the top. The table not ending in a more obvious way has more to do with the FFXI skin needing an overhaul. Until that happens it is still noticeable by the line with filter settings and the New Subject link being different from the thread list.

Speaking of change, I just kind of noticed it. Spoiler button, good. Add Poll, Wikify, both good as well. Image button, not so much. I know it's an issue for me to remember what number is associated to which picture, and I doubt I'm the only one, so the button seems kind of unnecessary. Also, now there's this large blue empty space. Any way to increase the text field to remove the blue?
