its common knowledge that certain posters gets away with things regarding karma.
And its easy to get good karma just report someone naughty in the site feedback forum and you get instant rateups. Thats the only reason people report stuff in here. To get higher karma.

Most of the ratings in this forum are down, see your last post.

I rarely see rate ups in a "Ban this person" thread. People don't do it for the rate ups, they do it to keep the forums clean.

The only reason you may think that is because it's usually the more established forum users that report the offenders. People who may already have Sage or Scholar status.

I report people because the admins have yet to accept the fact that I should be able to ban people, so I need to get them to do it, until then.

This.

It is my opinion that, broken or no, this place is made better because of it. Like anything else, it has its flaws, but this place would likely be awful without it.

It is rare that we just go all out and ban you for karma abuse, actually I can't recall that we ever did that.

Since I have been here, I have never seen that happen. Normally in a worst case possible scenario the person gets a really painful karma schmack.

It takes quite a lot for a regular user to be banned.

I'd like to say we have banned regulars for misbehaving, even premium members, so don't think this makes you immune to disciplinary action. Smiley: grin

that wasnt what I meant. Just that to get banned generally warrents some major offense and I have never seen karma campers being banned. :/ was trying to say that in my years of being here that you guys try to give us plenty of chances to clean our act up...

To be fair, I don't think I've ever seen anyone banned for murder.

The only person I karma camp is Varrus in the Asylum, because he keeps coming back from ban and it's fun to get him Unrated again.

If I were to allegedly murder someone for karma camping, you could be pretty sure they would never allegedly find the alleged body.

(the alleged snail would eat it!)

No it's not. It's annoying because it makes it difficult to follow the fantasy stories he writes.
