I want to preface with my thanks for what I have won.
Now my gripe. I was under the impression that the contest ended at 4pm on Wednesday. I submitted my story. I would like to point out that I gave my story a great deal of thought. I wouldn't have submitted it until Saturday if I had known that A.) the contest did not end on Wednesday as announced and that B.) submitting it earlier would disqualify me from the grand prize. I know there isn't much you can do about it now, but in the future THIS ISN'T COOL! The people who wait till Saturday and submit a one line story has a better chance than those of us who put real thought into our writing and submitted it before the original advertised ending date.

In all seriousness though, think of it this way:
Let's say everyone entered the same day, then they closed entry, then they announced prizes. As of right now, they've given away 6 copies of Conan, and 9 game cards. Let's say that's all they were going to give out, plus the grand prize. Let's say they just tossed all the names into a hat and pulled them randomly, starting with the lowest prize.
You'd still have to hope you didn't win any of the lower prizes AND that you got pulled for the grand. Quit being a whiner.

I am looking into the grand prize elligability, and why the change occured now. I don't have any good answers yet, but I will post when I know more.

True but then everyone's would be in and those who are waiting until Saturday to submit would have the same chance to win what I won and I have the chance they have to win the computer.

The rules that we originally posted have not been altered and have always read that the contest will come to a close on Sunday, April 27th, 2009. If you read otherwise somewhere else, we'd be interesting in knowing where so we can fix it. However, as I mentioned previously -- the rules as originally posted, remain unchanged.

Er, actually, they have changed. I'm not sure who changed them, but it origionally specifically stated that winners of the daily prizes specifically would be elligable for the grand prize, and the new wording says "Odds of winning depend on number of eligible entries received. Winners of the raffle contest are no longer eligible to receive another prize from this contest."
The "No longer" portion being the section that changed.

I read Kao's post he put in OOT and it said Wednesday. When I read the actual rules I missed it saying it went all week but did pick up that cut off was at 4pm. . I assumed that meant Wednesday at 4pm.
