Comin back to EQ & Alla??Follow

#1 Jun 08 2009 at 11:46 AM Rating: Default
Been pretty bored with other games out there, & was thinkin of coming back to EQ for a bit. Was a premium subscriber to Alla for several years when I originally played.

My question is, how well is Alla (or maybe more specifically, the new owners) keeping up with EQ lately? I ask this because back in the day, the ball really got dropped after a while. One of the best features I used to use was 'Search for Equipment Upgrades'. You could set up your char with all your current gear, then that feature would let you search for upgrades by slot. You could filter by expansion, by stat, by almost any parameter. But after a while, they stopped putting in new gear as new expansions came out, and the feature became fairly worthless.

I realize EQ isn't the hot game anymore, but are they keeping up? Does the auto profiler thing work? Can you actually search for gear upgrades by choice of parameter? Guess I'm just looking for confirmation that it's once again the value that it used to be.

Thanks

So 80 views & no responses. Guess that answers my question. ;)

I suppose in the three days you took waiting on this thread, you could've checked the EQ portion of the site yourself, eh?

Interesting idea. Since it's a feature of the premium service, I guess I'm wondering how I'd check to see if it's been kept up to date without paying first.
When people come to my place of business & ask me about the service I provide, and express an interest in spending money with me, I usually answer their questions. I guess I thought all businesses did that. My bad.

Maybe if you asked in the EQ feedback instead of general? You'd be more likely to find an admin there who actually knows that portion of the site, I would think. I mean, I can't promise you someone will answer, but it might be more likely that way.

Good luck.

You don't need premium to check out most parts of the site to see how they've been keeping up. Premium gets you the convenience features, and avatars and other such stuff (all great things I might add). This forum is the Site Feedback forum, so not gonna get much about EQ specific here. Try the Everquest forum instead, and you'll probably get a response, if not lots of it.

MHO, is they've been doing a great job on keeping up with EQ the past couple of years. Slow at times, but mostly only with particular expansion releases, and that's to be expected from time to time. Last two expansions they have been superb about providing relevant information as soon it's known.

EDIT: BTW, I'm not a premium member, so I can't give any good info on how wellt he premium parts have been maintained, but overall they have been doing well past few years.
