some of these ads are blocking the drop-down menus from the bar at the top. things like "ETS TOEFL" obscure some of the menu options so i cant click on them. dunno if this has been reported already...

I've enabled ads in my account and using the FFXIV skin. When I mouse over the menu at the top the ads disappear then return when I mouse off so I am not seeing the same thing you are.

What browser and version are you using? Also, have you cleared cache, cookies, temp files etc yet? Just checking.

Ok, if it does come back, go ahead and let us know and we'll check into it.

Thanks. That's a known but very obscure bug and we're having a lot of difficulties tracking it down. Telling us that it was the "ETS TOEFL" is helpful.

When this does occur, we'd appreciate it if you let us know if a different ad causes it.

Also, as a work around, just hit refresh once or twice to get a different ad.

Still happening to me. I'm using the most current version of firefox as well. I've had it happen to the Greyhound ad and the Intel Xeon ad(although its been happening for the last few days on all the ads I've seen). I also use the WoW skin for the site, if that makes any difference.

Firefox 3.0.11 on Vista
Got the same issue, can't access the forums drop-down or my account menu's due the the add being always on top, leaves me on my forums menu able to click forum search and live forum updates and the my account drop-down can't click anything its all under the add.
The ads I'm noticing it happen with most are both the Greyhound and the IBM ad, not 100% sure it's happening with others because those are the only 2 adds I can get by refreshing.
I'm just outside Toronto if that makes a difference for what ads I'm being served.

Ether Saga and Adventure quest ads don't do it.

I'm going to keep putting up which ones affect me and which ones don't until its fixed or I'm told to stop!

yeah the problem is still there for me. all other ads are fine except this damn ETS TOEFL ad. you can see the dropdown menu obscured by the ad. it looks like you can just click a link, but if you do the ad opens a new tab in Firefox to this page
