I don't think I've seen the forums do this before:

Are you talking about the users post?

Seems what he posted was copy pasted from somewhere that had an odd font...

I think the confusion came from the fact that I don't have a decent word processor installed right now. I pasted the text into Wordpad and it showed the same font name for both fonts, so I couldn't figure out what was going on. Anyway, I thought the forums always converted everything to their default font and used it when you quoted stuff.

It's not a font issue, it's a "he switched from 'normal' characters to the 'fullwidth' characters way out in the boonies of Unicode" issue.

Since they look different in, well, pretty much every font, the only solution would be to convert ＀~～ into ~~ (fullwidth characters -> normal characters).

Um, yea, I'm not that much into Unicode, but it looks screwed for me too:

I would have thought Alla would filter out oddities like this and convert it to standardized posting font >.>

The guy did it on purpose to ***** with the post formatting. Filtering it would be counterproductive because most people won't ever use that. Ever.

I wonder why there's spaces in it when Pawk looks at it in either News or FFXI skins, but not when I'm looking at it.

I'm using the Hello Kitty one for the FFXI site, but nothing for the News site. When I turn off the Hello Kitty css, I still don't see spaces.

What browser are you using Pawk?
