AvatarsFollow

Under settings, in the User Settings tab, you have a link to "Your Avatars" which is great and all but you can't actually select any of them to use.

Under Forum and Comment settings, you have a place to upload avatars (which incidentally, doesn't appear to work if there are too many in "Your Avatars" under User Settings), and supposedly set them but as of yet I can't get mine changed over.

These two locations don't appear to be talking to each other at all, I had a Thundercats avatar in both, deleting it from "Your Avatars" under User Settings doesn't seem to remove it from the Forum and Comment Settings page. Also, there doesn't appear to be any way to remove the avatars in the Forum and Comment Settings page.

Also, trying to delete the avatars in "Your Avatars" under User Settings in the ZAM skin doesn't work, takes you to a 404 page (Fire Fox 3.5).

Edit, removing the last thing I said, apparently I didn't wait long enough for the change to propagate.

Let me know if you need more details, I'm sure I didn't explain it very well.

That is useless now.
You have to reupload all avatars to the new system. I have 13 avs with the new system, there is no limit AFAIK. As long as it's small enough in your images folder, it will show up for an avatar. If I understand it correctly.
Correct, old system doesn't work, it's dead (well not really I can, upload and delete) and new system has mourned and moved on.

I did not have that problem.

Also, if you upload a gif that is small enough to be considered an avatar, it'll show up as selectable.

I missed itread it.

I just wanted to join in the conversation. I had noticed the dual avatar thing and wanted to say something, just never got around to it.

I am not sure why it's still there, that's a dev issue and there may be a reason.

Your avatars are stored in your images. If you can remove them in there, they should be gone from being selected.

Speaking of avatars, how long do they take to update? It's still using my old avy from the old system. It shows my new avy on the Forum settings tab, but doesn't seem to carry over to the forums.


Edit to add: also, first time I use the new system, tbh. Say you have a bunch of avy uploaded, where's the option to select one or the other?

Hate to be a noob here but I'm also having the same issues. Ive been trying to delete a few of my old avatars to get some new ones up and it redirects me to a page that says you must be a premium member Sign in here. I click the link and it says 404 not found. I even gave it some time and checked back but the avatars I wanted deleted are still there. Help a technically challenged member out please?


ETA tried the WoW skin and I have no problem deleting with that one. But both ZAM and EQ2 skin are giving me 404 issues

What?! You mean once I buy premium again, I have to go get my avatars again because they're all gone?

Not happy.

I had to go find my avatars again to upload them. That's work and I come here to avoid work.
