I know that vBulliten has this feature, and it's quite nice, where you can tag multiple posts to be quoted when you hit reply. This makes it much easier to respond to multiple people in one post. I'm not sure if anything like this is being considered or has been mentioned before, but I think that it would be a nice addition to the forums if a similar feature were implemented.

Fifthed.

That's right, I scoff at your numerical order.

Can someone link me to a site using vbulletin that does this? I'm curious.
The Baltimore Sun Forums have it.

The bottom right of every post in a thread has three buttons, Quote, Multi-Quote, and Quick Reply.

Quote opens a new reply page with the selected post quoted for you in the Reply box.

Multi-Quote flags the post for later replying. I don't know if there's a limit to how many posts you can flag or not, but you flag the posts and when you are ready to reply you can either hit the aforementioned Quote button on a post or click the Post Reply button at the bottom of the page. This works across multiple pages in the thread, and when you get to the Reply page, the flagged posts are quoted in the order that you flagged them.

Quick Reply jumps to a small reply box at the bottom of the page. This box has limited formatting features, though you can still type out formatting commands if you want. The Multi-Quote function doesn't work with Quick Reply.

Sixth.

I think I requested this a couple years ago? Maybe?

It's a really good idea...at the moment, I have to use Notepad to copy and paste back and forth into a post.

I agree, but I just use tabs. I think we should remove rate up and down to like and dislike! ROFL

Another, companion feature would be the ability to flag multiple portions of a single post by highlighting, then flag for quoting separately.

Often I end up just leaving off the name of quotes because it doesn't feel worth the time to write in names for 5+ responses.

Usually, I end up having multiple tabs open to begin with, and it just gets a bit confusing.

Like right now, I have three different tabs opened about Final Fantasy X-2, two more about Final Fantasy XI, one opened to LexisNexis, one opened to Wikipedia (not on the topic for Lexis), and one here. And that's normal!

And also, I'm lazy. I don't want to have to click between tabs anymore than I have to when going back and forth.
