Double post warnings missingFollow

#1 Nov 10 2011 at 11:58 AM Rating: Good
There's been a rash of double posts lately, and having experienced one myself yesterday, I am now suspecting that the Javascript or whatever code it is that is supposed to detect a duplicate post within a certain period of time (or heck, any post at all by the same poster) is broken or missing.

It used to be that if we accidentally double clicked, we'd get a warning popup that the forum system had detected an identical post from us in the last minute, or whatever.

That does not seem to be the case any more.

I don't think it's a double click issue, since some of the double posts are showing up minutes later.

I tried multi clicking that reply, and it just ignored the multiples. I tried copying pasting the text and quick replied, and I got the duplicate post message.

I've seen all the doubles lately, too, but it's hard to force one.

Dupe check is done on the server side, not in the JS. Can't do anything without examples, coffee.
