Everquest 1 Item Collector SupportFollow

I have multiple Omens of War treasures that need alla pages, one of which I think is a breadcrumb piece for the Warrior 2.0 that nobody ever needed. Item collector pls :)

EQIC appears to be trying to establish a connection to the server but then immediately reports that the server closed the connection. It keeps looping this.

I am unsure if that means that the connection 1) was refused ("Talk to the hand..."); 2) properly closed ("We're full, no room at the inn for your report, try the stables for now..."); or 3) the server is not responding at all ("Is anybody out there...?"). I believe that EQIC was working correctly last Sunday (2020-Dec-27) and only noticed it while doing Santug's List now.

There was an issue server side that was causing the IC not work properly yesterday. This should be fixed now. Let me know if you run into any other issues.

While trying to install I am getting an error message.
"This version of Windows is not supported by WinPcap 4.0.2. The installation will be aborted."
I am running 64bit Windows 10 Home, all patches up to date.
Everquest files are up to date.
I tried to run as administrator, but got the same error message.

i downloaded the itemcollector installer and it wont let me run the program without wpcap but its no longer supported and wont work with my version of windows. there is a suggestion on the site to use npcap instead. is that safe? how do i make that work? will the installer be updated at any point?

Check out https://everquest.allakhazam.com/wiki/EQ:Item_Collector

I would try installing npcap from https://nmap.org/npcap/ instead of winpcap. Uninstall winpcap if you have it installed.
