Thanks Enitsu -- I'd like to take a moment and also add:

Enitsu, Mogley, and Velmont who have been so incredibly kind about asking for help. Most people take advantage of you when you offer help multiple times, but these guys offer to do things for me out of the blue in return for voluntary things I've done, they always ask courteously, and are downright understanding when I have to leave them for sporadic linkshell events.

Hats off to you guys -- the best people I've *ever* helped, and hope to continue doing so.

Balmarin

I was a 18MNK/WAR partying in Valkurm Dunes (I know you're wondering if I meant to post in the other thread) and was in a PT that consisted of THF/WAR, THF/MNK, WHM/BLM, RDM/- and BLM/WHM. Balmarin, at the time, was a 17WHM/BLM. I was tank my default, and a less than ideal one. I had a VIT/DEF set for tanking and had brought boiled crab along for this type of situation, but it seemed that at this level my defensive abilities started to drop off compared to those classes that could wear heavier armor. Balmarin was having to use almost all his MP each battle to keep me out of the red, by no fault of his own, and I felt badly for him. I talked to him via /tell for a bit and decided I trusted him. I traded him my Astrals (which I happened to have on me by some lucky coincidence) as loaners. I kind of had a lump in my throat knowing that I had just traded my prized Astrals, for which I had crafted so hard, to a relative stranger.

The battles went smoothly after that. The rings were just 50MP more than he had before, but it made a big difference at that level, especially because he was an Elvaan.

After the battle disbanded (some 4000 XP later), I said my goodbyes and began to head off. A trade prompt popped up - Balmarin had followed me after I took off without my Astrals. He traded them back and thanked me for loaning them to him.

I realize it was only proper that he return them to me and that anything less would have been a trauma that would surely have sent me careening toward an in-game stroke (albeit the result of my own over-trust). However, I thought it was nice to have the chance to party with one of the "good guys" out there.

I'd like to add Bobar, Coldstone, Raila, Teeheana

Bobar (smn 75):
I heard horror stories about promos and how hard it was to get a smn for them but Bobar took me under his wing and help me do Dem and Holla in one try. He had already done these but took the 5 hours out of his day to beg LS members to help, farm animas for everyone, and guild us thru. Couldn't have done it without you!

Coldstone (75pld) (retired):
He's always there to help me out. When I needed my Optic hat he organized an allience, and shouted his lungs out in Jeuno just for lil' ol me. When I needed my to steal thf tests he was there to take the blows from goblin thfs in cape for me. I miss him.

Raila (75whm):
She will raise 3 anyone, anywhere. She always comes along when people need help with anything and never lets anyone die. Her hexa stike sometimes out DDs me.....

Teeheana (rdm):
I of the few drks i partied with that uses absorb spells without promting, and not afraid to heal and lose some TP when needed. She's retired her drk since then, but helped me with bastok mission 4-1 and 4-2 and 2 of my AF.

Ide like to list myself since I help a billion people but no one seems to appreciate it but I wont.

I know some of you may not like me adding his name here and some may think it was a bad call but here it is.

Haquej:: Reason is he has always been their to help me out of a jam and you can't ask for a better friend J has gone off to war now but we all hope you come home safe to us man god speed and take care we all miss you alot.

He helped me complete my CoP missions and was the craziest most talented BLM I have ever seen...stop crying Syntax.

But for the record, Haquej left for war a month or so ago and will be gone a while. Someone else is using his account, so I can't vouch if that person is as nice, or as skilled as the original Haquej.

I'd like to nominate Bleam. He's helped me out for a very long time. If I have ever needed anything, he's been there to help me. For that matter, the linkshell KnightsInPajamas as well.

Please elaborate what kind of person Control is.... I've been hearing some very nasty things about him, but he's always been very civil with me.

Well, I was friends with one of the infamous people on Bismarck (who was not mentioned, and I shall not mention, keyword WAS), though I didn't know that anyone hated him or that he did anything 'wrong'...

So you can't really go by that assumption. Unless I really am just as terrible, then I guess the assumption holds true.

That's just amazing that he can keep getting away with this.... is he still playing? Please tell me he's been banned for all this hacking and stealing.

Yes we really can go by that assumption. They are 2 totally different scenarios. You didn't do anything wrong, just happened to be friends with him. Control did something wrong. That something was breaking the ToS.
