Players To Watch Out For - The ReturnFollow

#552 Aug 05 2005 at 6:11 PM Rating: Good
i'd like to add a red mage named mueun to the list. a friend of mine and i made an exp part and headed out to boyahda tree. little did we know we had invited the most incomptetant red mage in the game. we were fighting processionaires and as such, we needed a dispeller. well, during the first 3 fights, mueun didn't cast dispell once. nor did she refresh at all. all she did was cast phalanx and various en-??? spells. looked to me like all she wanted to do was skill up enhancing magic. we took the time to ask her outside of battle to cast dispell and refresh and just do do her job. she ignored us. long story short, we kicked her, grabbed a bard, went to bibiki bay, and got like 20k exp. just thought i'd give a heads up about this bad player.

Like to add Windvalley.
Was in a PT and this guy went AFK without telling anyone and sat there in healing position for most of it.
When we started talking about kicking him he popped up and started doing his job (Btw he is a RDM) then a few fights later he AFK'd again. Then PT went back to Jeuno and Windvalley started /sh that the leader of the PT was a scammer and such.

Just be warned this guy is a EXP Leecher.

So I wait till I know the crab is over half dead, the blms and PLD have a fair amount of MP.. I throw a cure IV on the mnk.. I say I'm sorry and leave. I know it was wrong of me to warp out on a PT. I just couldn't take that guy anymore.

Unfortunately I just found out that the party supposedly died.. I am very sorry that this happened /bow

yea i'd say you earned it :)

ID like ot add Goblobsters to this list. Aside from have a big head and bad taste in EVERYTHING, he consistantly gets lost, kills puppies, and hoards cheese.

I tried to invite this player to my pt the other day and he/she threatened to beat my mum with a shoe!

Also on this other day I joined this party to go level in the dunes and when I joined I saw the name Goblobsters in the list..well I was immediately put on guard. I sent the leader of the party /tells saying just how much of a douche this person was, but sadly there was no ne else available so we were stuck with him. Needless to say he ruint the party with his fowl stench, and lecherous sibling comments. I finally got fed up with him/her and when and got a pack of Forest Hare's and MPK'd his/her sorry ***.

Avoid this player at all costs. On a scale of 1 to 10 in terms of likeability i give this player a -4. He drank all the Yoohoo and artificially inseminated my shoes with a turkey baster.

Thanks for Listening.

Have a Nice Day

Holy **** Ninjas!!!!!

Havent checked this thread in a while...delayed reaction comin at ya -

I suck at holding hate. Put me on here. I can't hit a Processionaire with it's defensive boost meaning that I can't maintain hate control. If I could hit it, it'd be for 0 or 1 dmg.

Oh...you mean no one else can hit a Processionaire with it's defensive boost? Well **** then...that means the hate will be all over the place.

And, yes, a good Ninja debuffs the mob by themself. I don't do that either...hell, I dont even have Utsusemi: Ni...AF whats that? You mean you can eat food? Holy crap, I hope it doesnt go bad in Mog House...if that filthy moogle hasnt eaten it already. And whats the deal with powders? Anyways...

So I suppose if you ever get me in a party then just boot Mueun and we'll be okay. Even better after I figure out what a macro is^^

Normally I try and stay away from these boards for... good reasons, but something happened last night that really pissed me off. Myself and my LS were up in Sky, and we were checking on Zippy... suddenly he comes up claimed, and run up to the zone. We had about... 16 people there, so we had more than enough to take him down with ease... anyway, the people that got claim were Cqkillin, Scarge and his cronies. They had about 8'ish people, and they all slowly wiped. They got Zip down to about 10% when all that was left was the Ninja (Cqkillin), who proceeded to CFH Zippy, then Mijin Gakure him to death.

Is this what things have come to these days? I mean, it's only a game, but where does a new LS to sky have their chance? With these people, and TOMATO, things just really... suck. Sure, it may sound like I'm whining, but I'm not whining, I'd like to know why S-E lets this kind of stuff go on. It's bad enough FE claims every other pop item all day long, but we gotta deal with stuff like this? *shrugs* It just leaves a bad taste in your mouth I suppose.

/endrant of doom!

Hope that answers your question as to why.

i can be the evidence of Celestia's accusation, partly because i was there.

Those guys were part of a LS called "Visaversal"* (probably misspelled).

Ew ><

You know, this is completely off topic, but once upon a time a level 45 red mage named Sioux and a level (???) (???) named Scarge were bitter foes.

Yes, yes we were, and the nexus of our hostility, the CRUX of our STRUGGLE, was a big fat Gigas by the name of Mimas.

Somehow I got it into my head that Mimas would make me rich. If I could just get 'The Drop' (I wasn't sure what it was), I could retire from farming for the rest of my days in FFXI.
(As it turned out, the wealth I reaped from Mimas was not that stupid 10k axe, but rather the sight of a big fat Gigas carrying a giant axe in one hand using Hundred Fists. The hilarity was my payment for killing that thing).

Scarge was always, ALWAYS, camping Mimas. I guess he was decieved about the value of the stupid NM too.
His claim was Provoke, one of the fastest in the game. On the other hand, my claim tool was an un-hasted, 'I'm not level 50 and I don't have my AF hat' Dia.

All the same, Scarge was *terrible* at claiming that thing. Just awful. I'd outclaim him nine times out of ten, because in spite of his faster claim and a pretty predictable pop time, he was, well, he sucked.

I saw Scarge, Boyish, all these people at the Sim pop not that long ago. They pretty much ran back and forth from Sim to Cassie, 24/7...I didn't know they'd pulled off Sky though. ><

-------------
edit:
What in the name of Christ did you karma bomb me for? Smiley: laugh
Ok, I'm sowwy, Scarge pwns me. You go, Scarge. Give 'em hell.

Xyoflite

This guy seemed cocky from the get go, but not a big deal. He had some beef with our SAM for no apparent reason, kept asking him what other jobs he's played...told him that SAMs were easily replaceable, that sort of thing.
Well we were still fighting and getting some exp while he continued to be an ***, and in the middle of a fight with a goblin in Gustav tunnel, he decides to Teleport-Holla the whole party because "He's ready to go." Turns out I was out of the port range and I would have been a goner if the gob wouldn't have hesitated after the port, or if my warp would have interrupted(I knew my AF boots weren't useless).
I warn my LS of him and hear nothing but good things about him...so I don't know what your personal experiences are with him- but I think his little move deserves to be known.

Wanted to second this and maybe provide a little more info, as I was in the same party.

The SAM in the party suggested the BLM burst with Freeze. Xyoflite said no it's a waste of MP, he knows from experience. As noted, he was quite arrogant, but otherwise nice. The leader says we'll try it anyway, and if it doesn't work out well, we can try Water III (Blizzaga II wouldn't have worked). Xyoflite threw a small fit, but let it go.

(At this point, please understand that both Seloan the BLM and I marked the MP inefficiency of AM, even on the burst. This point is not being disputed).

Average damage was:
Tachi:Enpi landed for 150.
Rampage landed for 450.
Distortion landed for 250
Freeze MB (BLM) landed for 1150.
Blizzard II MB (RDM) landed for 300.
Net damage, 2300.

MP was generally not an issue and in the hour-long party I didn't have to Convert at all. At one point the SAM said, "See? Freeze burst isn't so bad." Xyoflite lost it and demanded the SAM tell him all the jobs he had leveled and how far. The SAM just shrugged it off and ignored him. Xyoflite demanded an answer as time went on and then started throwing threats around. SAM leaves or he leaves; SAM shouldn't be wearing Mentor flag. That sort of thing. The SAM is pretty much just keeping his cool, saying "Look, you're just trying to start trouble with the grilling, and I won't play into it." Xyoflite then runs to the other side of the melee and casts Teleport-Holla, which I interpreted as an attempt to port the melee and leave them without the BLM (D2). That's just my guess, though. Then he disbands.

I did a /sea and saw he was seeking again. I gave a /shout in Lower Jeuno just to give people a heads-up about his tactics. All he had to say was, "Hey, I'll tell anyone the same thing: if you disagree with me during an XP party, your that party is over." A few people piped up with, "I guess that means I'm not inviting you", and the like, but he didn't seem bothered, just laughing it off in /shout.

My experience with LS members was the same; I guess he's a really nice 75 BRD. Unfortunately, when he had to reduce himself to leveling his sub he ruined our XP session just because we didn't follow his orders.

Maybe he is a nice guy, but I'll never party with him again. Inefficient or unskilled players can slow it down altogether, but this guy can and will stop XP in it's tracks, and waste my 20K 3-hour food.

lol i have PT'd with xyoflite before, and while that does sound like him (Attitude wise) he is none the less a very skilled player.

And look at my sig as i tell you this, Freeze really is a waste of MP once you have Water III or Blizzaga 2. If your PT was going ok then it shouldn't have been a big deal, and i dunno about the teleport thing ...

I always thought Xyo was pretty cool ;)
I partied with him, Babyjade, and someone else...I believe they had a small set party at the time...out in Qufim ages ago. We had a great time, very chatty and comfortable, although the xp was nothing to write your grandma about.

He was also present at a fight for WHM AF out in Xarcabard a while ago. He always struck me as a nice guy and a good player.

Mithandur, you probably don't camp spook 24/7 for about several months now do you? I would think that you'd spend atleast some time into something else.

Those guys level and then farm gil all day long for aslong as possible. It's not really difficult to find these people because they are after the moneymaking nm's pretty much all day, most of them are chinese with ridiculous bazaar messages. Rank 6 at the most for sky and simply idiots when it comes to their jobs. They tend to get smarter though and actually know how to play a job XD

Xyo is a nice guy, though he can have his attitude against him hehe. That is just typical him though ^^

Yeah, guy's a real dou[/i]chebag. I heard he also rapes grief-stricken sailors' wives when their husbands don't come back from overseas. And he stole my girlfriend.

The *******.

Claud who went AFK e/o telling us. We died in dunes when he was afk. The tank hped nearby and died again. Then he starts saying "my mom told me". You could of told us you were afk. Then all of the sudden he impersonates his dad + kept /tell me bad stuff. I actually sent the bad things about Claud + accidently send it Claud -_-. Then I asked why his dad bothering me. Then he says it wasnt his dad. He keeps changing the story ...Everytime we pull the whm goes like afk. Then starts making excuses.

Then half the party dies so we like booted him outta the group. We got a replacement and he was still sitting there...Then he starts cussing at us "why did you boot me".

Duerga, I think it says someplace in the guidelines for this thread that we shouldn't complain about Dunes experiences in here. It's possible that Claud only starting partying with people yesterday, who knows. Besides, if we all complained about the bad Valkurm parties we've had, then I claim page 2,097.
