Oh, so that's why you keep cheering at me. I wasn't sure if it was because we're both BST or not.

Still looking out for your typos!

Oyy...

...it wasn't a crappy party. It was anything but a crappy party. Everyone else, Rubix included, performed competently. The only thing 'crappy' about it was the MPKing paladin.

Smiley: lol

"Will someone please distract this pain-in-the-**** taru so I can have some peace?" ;)

I'm doing that a lot lately, I've been playing Kubla more than Sioux, so I keep saying hi to people and they haven't a clue who I am. Alas, Kubla will always just be Sioux: Redux.

I think I ran into you three or four times that day when I saw you in Qufim. It's true, Majivo: I hax. ;)

I would like to add Seikas (41 THF) to this list. Because today I was pting in Crawler's Nest in the secret room and Seikas was in another pt beside us and he accidently (or maybe not?) aggroed and Exoray and brought it to camp. He then called for help and disbanded and warp out of the pt leaving 3 members to die and my pt almost dead from helping the last member. This was a very cowardly thing to do.....

I have to agree with Seikas... several months ago he stalked me around the world and continuely did a /em slaps Jadennyte's *** emote. He wouldn't leave me alone till I threatened to call a GM on him. He is also one of the people that threatened to MPK Flourite when I offered free ports after I first got my spells. He is a rude idiot.

I looked everywhere; then I see this Suezou, standing there and fighting a gob. I try really hard to swallow my disappointment and irritation, and be nice; I'm not as obvious as a party, after all.

'Could you please kill these somewhere else?' I said. 'I'm only 1000 tnl, I just want my lvl so I can leave.'

She ignores me, and continues killing gobs.

Ive encountered Suezou before too,...

A couple of nights ago I was farming in rolanberry just to pass some time. If anyone here has farmed there before, they should know that there are like 2-3 crawler pops per "vineyard" in the area and most people ignore em.

Well, I was farming em by voking 1 and linking a few of em together to save time, and out of the blue one of my mobs is claimed. I get angry when I farm in a area where there are few mobs and people strip mine the area by linking, but hell, there are lots of places around to find em and from what I could tell is no one else was farming em. Anyways, Suezou claimed the mob and turns to run, stops a few feet later, turns around and shoots another crawler I had.

That resulted me in calling em a asshat and shaking my fist.... naturally no reply.

IDK if that qualifies as a bad player alert, but combined with the before mentioned story it seems as if the guy is a jerk and likes watching taru ****.

just had one of the worst run-ins I've had in six months of playing this game. I'm so mad even as I write this.

Those of you that harvest in West Sarutabaruta, watch out for Fensir.

That's really odd - I've had nothing but good experience with him... I have seen him show other people the ropes, and he even taught me a few things I didn't know (and I thought I had harvesting nailed lol)... Are you sure there wasn't more to it?

I guess it could be one of those YMMV situations, but the guy practically lives to help people from what *I* have seen, so...

NB he's also my little brother, and for a 9 year old I think he's pretty smart...

No wonder he's here on the bad players list.

I have an 11 year old son and I let him play for about 2 weeks. Once I saw him on a pt..I quickly took him off the game. He would run off mid battle or just simple log off w/o telling his pt members during a pull.

Regardless of how smart he is, he obviously doesn't have any concept of how to be curteous to other players. What 9 year old does?

This is the bad player thread, isn't it? o.O

I find it hard to believe that Fensir is only 9 years old, as he's very well-spoken and manipulative for that age. He's on this list with good reason; I've spoken to others harvesting in WSaruta who've been harassed by him. I don't know what he's like when he's not in harvesting gear, but he's a royal jerk in it.

The only people we should be watching out for are the people who "train mpk~ cuss out people warp2 our white mage and them selfs~ people who who have no respect for other player's.

To me a bad player would have some time to be good if they dont get good then please dont bash them teach them how to play =)

I really agree with this in premise. It would be nice if it could be done, but in practice, this just doesn't really happen and shouldn't necessarily have to.
I know I'm not the only player who has been in a party with someone playing a job that you also play, and recognizing that the guy is doing it ineffectively. Sometimes there's time to explain what the other player could do differently, but I'd say that the only real time that this is appropriate is in the Dunes or Qufim. Simple experience should do the teaching afterward.

I've levelled with players on Sioux that made me cringe. Guys in their late 60's and 70's that just confuse the crap out of me; a 62 BLM that casts Rasp over and over? A 65 WHM that repeatedly misses deadly status effects? A 60 DRK that can't make a skillchain to save his life?
I don't think I'm alone in saying that if these guys don't know how to play yet, little old me isn't going to get through to them. Chances are I'd just get insulted even if I did have the time to try.

In the Dunes, yeah, I agree, don't judge players on technicalities of their jobs. A THF that doesn't pull very well at level 11 is probably a very good WHM and a nice person, and at level 60 she'll probably be a great puller. If your tank isn't great, well, welcome to Valkurm Dunes, you're probably not such a hot BRD either. ;)

I'm just being technical, but it's important to remember that people don't usually get listed here because the person listing him is just being a dick. There's an acceptable level of crappiness at every level, but the higher you go the thinner that highway gets.

Gotta nominate Harhar. He's a good BRD, pulls better than most THFs and is a superb sleeper. But he's also a self-centered ***. If your party doesn't run perfectly, he'll fake DC on you and then go seeking again a little while later; I had it happen to me after a dhalmel pop took out our NIN in bibiki bay, we mostly wiped and it was beyond anyone's control, and he just left without a word. In addition 2 members of my party reported similar incidents.

He's a good BRD, but a crappy person. Thanks for killing the exp, buddy!

It sounds like you don't have much experience with modern day children... Anyway there are two points you should consider...

1. He hasn't played ffxi since october and isn't likely to since my ps2 is now in my dorm room.

2. If you see that character harvesting anymore it's me, not him so bare that in mind.

Having said that I will add that when I am home for breaks if he wants to play I will let him, because I have never seen the behaviour you describe, and to be frank I don't really believe he was out of line unprovoked. The question I want to ask is what did you do to him to precipitate the event?

Laural, I suggest that you read the thread for other mentions of your brother's name, before you go trying to pin the blame on us. Sioux and I both posted our experiences with him. We were harvesting in West Sarutabaruta, did absolutely nothing to provoke him, and were the recipients of a number of harassing /tells from Fensir telling us that we had no right to be there, should be ashamed of ourselves, etc. I understand your instinct to protect your brother but believe me, we are not in the wrong here. Is there any possibility that we're getting names confused? I am absolutely positive that Fensir is the name of the person that was harassing me, because he's on my blacklist, but is there a chance that you've got your brother's character's name wrong? I really find it hard to believe that you could be telling such a different story from us. :/

Edit: took me a little while, but I found the original thread I started about him, well over a year ago. No names were named because at the time, I honestly wasn't sure what to make of it, but it was the same guy. http://ffxi.allakhazam.com/forum.html?forum=35&mid=1098415382272708816

Ok I owe you an apology. What you said struck a chord. I know he feels very strongly that what you described is cheating, but I didn't know he actually confronted people over it.

If he plays again he won't do that. Sorry if he upset you.

Kallandos.

Apologies if I mispelled the name, but that at least the way it sounds (pretty sure about spelling). He is a Taru WHM. In both pt's I have been in with him he rests 99% of the time, even when his MP is full. He never says a word. Occasionally he comes back from AFK or whatever he's doing to toss cures and status removes, but he only does the status removes when prompted. He will let tanks, pullers, DDers, just about anyone in a party die with his {slowga} responses. And sometimes he just leaves and stays logged to leech your exp.

If you want a leech, invite Kallandos. If you want a white mage, I would advise against it.

No problem Laural. Like I said, I understand the instinct to just defend your brother, but there's two sides to every story. :) If he believes so strongly that that's cheating you might want to explain to him how harvesting points work, what with the immediate respawns and all. There's always enough to go around.

Laural maybe you should keep your brother in line. Has he ever played on your character, or are you lying? I cant say for sure, and Im hoping it wasnt you, but "Laural" resorted to rather extreme verbal harrassment to me, and 2 friends of mine, on separate occasions, due to some foolish ideas of his that high level players arent allowed to kill mobs in saruta. Its why "laural" has been on my blacklist for about 8 months now.

I dunno. Could be the way he is, however, he was in my party recently, DCed and came back right away. It's not very commonplace in these modern days, but he *could* simply have a crappy connection.
#700 Jan 25 2006 at 2:07 AM Rating: Decent
Well, if Harhar had DC'd and then come back and asked if the pt had replaced him yet, I would have forgiven him instantly. But he waited until long after we had replaced him, and immediately joined a different party when he logged back on.

I'd still be all for giving him the benefit of the doubt if the guy didn't have a reputation for this sort of asshattery.

I want to add someone to this list..

A Japanese WAR by the name of Vana
Here was the situation. Praty set up was:
Pld
Thf(me)
War(Vana)
Smn
Whm
Brd

We went to Dragon's Aery to exp. As soon as we get there first thing she/he did was set QM on her/himself. Now I didn't notice it myself but a couple of the pty members did and called her/him on it. It was set back to pool. ok, no problem, right? wrong.

She/he flat out refused to Skillchain because we didn't have a Blm, and did not want the Smn to use avatars to MB on anything.. All she/he was using was a GA, and made it clear she/he was not going to use a WS any of us could use to SC to for any type of damage to the spiders.

After Smn has words with her/him, Smn gets booted.. Then Vana just happens to DC.

BTW This is no reflection on Japanese players but she/he happened to be.
