Darkphalanx. This guy is a major pain in the ***. I just left a party because I couldnt deal with him anymore. 1st off, he is the back up voker, so he has 1st voke. I told him that he had 1st voke so that the thf could do his thing and then the 1st mob comes. No voke. I had to mention it to him 3 times before he finally voked. Ok, so some people are slow, I get that. So I remind him again, still the same thing happens. Now I tell him nicely to voke when the mob comes in. So he vokes right off the bat, which is a good thing, right? No, the idiot vokes and then does Last Resort. Even with the thf's SATA I couldnt get hate back. I tell him politely that he shouldn't do that. He says ok and then the next mob comes. Guess what he does after voke this time? Nope, not Last Resort but Soul Eater instead. Heh, some people are just plain idiots. Anyway, I tell him to hold his abilities at least until I get my 1st voke. Things slowly get better as we kill more mobs but then he starts with the fireworks... during the party!!!!It's ok to celebrate after a good round of xp or what not, but not during the battle. He even did this stupid macro "<t> doesnt like fireworks, I saw it on animal planet" when he pulled out the fire works. I told him to knock it off during the battle because I couldnt see. (I think it was a star burst fire work, don't really know it) Of course though, like his previous pattern of stupidity he kept up using the fireworks even though I told him it was disrupting my tanking. I finally just gave up and told them good night. I swear, if you get this idiot in your group, be prepared to be annoyed and frustrated.

"Drohk (speliing might be off). He is a thf and I partied with him tonight. I have no idea what is wrong with this guy. He was the leader of our party and the back up tank wasnt voking. So I asked him to do something about it since the back up tank wasnt listening to me. On our next break Drohk goes AFK and I say BRB. I come back after smoking and I am no longer in the party. So I /tell the guy and ask him what happened and maybe that he hit the wrong button, yet I get no reply. The DRK from the party tells me that the *** disbanded me, the nin to invite a friend of his to tank (war/nin). The whole time that I was in the party I am getting praises for the hate I was holding, so what was wrong with this guy other then the fact he disbanded me without warning to invite a friend of his. BTW,i find this sort of conduct juvenile and inexperienced . I only ask to be given warning or at least a reason , it's the least a person can do for keeping them alive ."

I have no problem with her going afk to go get a beer every 15-20 min. but to put down my friend who was just getting back into the game and readjusting... and to call me names aswell? For one thing i dont deal with people like this so i found replacment and booted her @$$. If you party with this player... be careful if shes drinking, she'll go into a rage.

I have no problem with her going afk to go get a beer every 15-20 min. but to put down my friend who was just getting back into the game and readjusting... and to call me names aswell? Unfortunatly there are some individuals that find the need to say anything in their power to support a LS member. I understand this, I would do the same, however, regardless of him being your LS buddy, and new to returning to the game, he should know by that lvl what to do. Yes I understand he took a break, then level something else in the meantime before doing a job like that. Better yet, advise us at the beginning of the party that you are returning and you may have difficulties. Still there is no excuse for his actions. Anyone with eyes who can read, can read the word VOKE.
Did I act rude to you? Yes, I will admit that I did afteryou booted me from the party without giving me a reason as to why. During the time that I was in the party with you, I mention to you on several occassions in private chat that you needed to explain to him what had to be done as I, obviously, was not getting to him. It is your job as a leader to insure that the party runs smoothly all around, however, it is apparent that you lack these skills needed to run a party. You want proof of this? You replaced me with a WAR without consideration to the rest of your party set up. You did not have the means to have a WAR as tank, there was not enough healing, especially since you did not have a WHM. Look, you are intitled to your own opinion, and you are intitled to supporting your friends from the LS, but you do have responsibilities and you were at fault.
As for me going AFK all the time, well, lets see, lack of healing, no back up tank and a lot of MP resting... was I really the problem with my AFK when we were resting?
BTW, I wasnt drinking. I was smoking a cig on my AFKs

I dont know, but to me this kind of seems like a "cover up" so that people in game dont bash so much as Kingcrunp. I cant say that your, or even him, are bad players because of the fact that I havent PTed or had any kind of personal experience with either of you, but when I read your post the first thing that came to mind was that it could be a fabricated lie to try and restore the players in-game reputation.

Problem starts when he starts being rude about my job setup (WAR/DRG, yeah i know I probably deserved it, but DRG is my only leveled non-mage job ><)
After a couple pulls he tells me to pull. Me? A WAR/DRG (had no arrows atm nontheless) pull over a thief? So I said, {Um...} it's a thiefs job to pull.
And he proceeded to babble about SA and calling me a noob and etc, etc.
He then /check me, and said Oh your in Halfway LS? I'll change that. Then jumps on my linkshell and tries to get me kicked out of it. Anyways a couple members say that thief should pull, yada yada, and he gets out and doesn't say anything else in the party. But forces the Ninja tank to pull... {Hmmm.}

He did have one up on you though: you want a crossbow. Not just for pulling. WARs can use Acid Bolts, I think the merits of that explains itself. You'll probably have to skillup a bit if you've never used one.
And besides, WAR pulls a *lot*, so this won't be the first time you'll be asked to do so. If you're Bastokan you can get a Legionnaire Crossbow for negligible conquest points. It's better than nothing.
As a side note, DRG sub between 20-30 isn't all that bad (Attack Bonus is always a plus), but remember WARs tank at those levels still. Monk is better for that.

Is this directed at me saying that Kingcrunp is no longer around? Well no, it isn't a lie. And yes, he's now gone for good. His char was deleted about a week ago.

A theif that doesnt pull, ummmmmm. Funny.... Ohh well, some ppl have a lot of learning to do. Dont worry about it man, every once and a while you will bump into a persone who's realy clueless. All part of the game.

Sounds to me like he was trying to be cheap. Indeed, THFs are always prefered pullers over WARs or almost any other job, because of the fact that they have higher evasion and higher agility. Like xifer said though, WARs do tend to back up tank(or sometimes even main tank) at that level, so if you have a NIN or MNK sub, I would recomend you use that, and if you dont, try to level them. NIN isnt that hard, specialy before lvl 12 since you dont really use ninjutsu(the only spell available pre lvl 12 is tonko...but you dont really need invisible in a exp PT). If you dont have NIN, send me a /tell in game and I'll help you get it(provided that you need help), my character name is Forbiden. The fact that he was making the NIN tank pull just proves that he was either being cheap, didnt know how to play his job, or was just plain ignorant. Although it would be wise to skill up Marksmanship and Archery....you never know. I've found myself pulling often even at the 60s~ level, and Provoke pull isnt exactly good :/

Firstly, /DRG is a great subjob for that level, especially if you're not the tank because of the Attack Bonus, and if you're using a Great Axe that nice extra hit (especially when you get double attack, it can proc on Jump... I did a jump for about 180 on a mandragora at level 29 in Yhoater...) So yeah, the thief is just a bit uninformed.
If you're not tanking, and not pulling, /NIN and /MNK aren't going to do much for you.
With /NIN, you can dual wield axes, but if you're using a Great Axe, that's ireelavant anyways. And the delay reduction isn't that great with Dual Wield 1. The shadows won't do you too much good because you're not tanking, you shouldn't get hit, and you're also not pulling. You also don't have shadows for most of Qufim anyways.
/MNK will give you counter, which should never proc because you're not tanking, and the +10 attack constantly from /DRG is probably better than occasional +attack from boost.
So that's just a matter of the /DRG debate, it's a great sub from 20-30, which unfortunately some people are unaware of.
Secondly, the thief is a moron if he thinks pulling is going to mess up his Sneak Attack. Using a ranged attack does not cancel Sneak attack, so it's beneficial for the thief to pull so he/she can use it before pulling. That way, the timer is almost refreshed when they get back to camp and they can sneak attack twice. If someone else is pulling, they may time it wrong and won't get that opportunity.
Also, with the addition of Flee at level 25, it makes Thief an even better puller, should the need arise for them to zone something for example.
Third, the tank should never have to pull. That's just stupid. That would be like having a paladin pull, and yelling at him for not curing himself or because you're not chaining high. Also, just because a ninja doesn't have to rest, doesn't mean they should be pulling.
So granted, you should maybe have some sort of ranged attack on you, even if it's a boomerang, but a Thief should be pulling over anything but a RNG at lower levels, and even then they're about equal for pulling. It's more beneficial for the Thief to pull.
So yeah...I'm sorry you were treated poorly because someone is an idiot. That's really crass of him also to log onto the linkshell like that. I'm glad people in there at least said thief should be pulling... I'm sick of some of the lazy thieves (but don't interpret this as me saying all thieves are lazy, only some are, and there are lazy people on every job.)

I got someone to name, a 61 war/nin named Morpheusz I partied with him last night in the Labyrinth of Onzozo. First of all he was silent the whole time, that's fine, wierd but fine. Then i noticed his damage was really sucking so i checked out his gear. he had a viking axe and wise wizards analace (which are both good) a bird whistle, a san'd'orian ring, a soldiers ring, shield earrings, earth mantle, no hauby.
Ok, so his gear sucked. not everyone can have good gear. so we start exping and he starts throwing out rampages for 88-100 dmg on toramas once every 3 fights. he also wouldn't voke to let the sam sata tachi yukikaze onto the nin, so I got hate on me. the tank starts asking for Morpheusz to voke, which he wouldn't do, he rarely used a job ability, he did aggressor twice the 2 hours he was in pt. He would go afk randomly while fighting. the only thing he did do regularly was cast utsusemi. I failed to see why since he never got hate. and one more thing i forgot to mention. he used no food. and finally, he went afk without saying anything, for more than 5 minutes and then he was kicked.
We reformed party soon after because the nin and sam left, and fought for another two hours, and Morpheusz was still there afk by the time we left. I'd avoid this guy.

Hey tigerlily i saw i guy online the other day called Kingcrump . Would this be Kingcrunp ? Making a desprate attempt to return unoticed,lol? Or am I just misstaken?

There was a long discussion held on the BST forums about that fiasco, the discussion is here. I haven't revoked it because it was annoying either way, but the MPK accusation may have been going too far.

I'll second putting this guy on the list. I partied with him in Wajaom a few nights back and wow... his gear sucked. Not only that but he didn't voke when Nin was in danger (fighting Colibri and Puks), he rarely said anything. He didn't even have a macro to inform pt of WS.
After about 2k xp, the ldr and I reformed and made a killer pt. 3 War/Nin a Nin, a Smn and a Brd = crazy :P
It was fun though putting his dmg output to shame. I'd pull off a Rampage 500+ and he'd do only 276 tops. lol

This kid is a immature punk, and the biggest s&#t talker I've ever come across. He apparently hates soloing and those who do it. And will snake claims from you if you do solo in his area.
This kid ruined my first few weeks playing this game when I got this game 4 months ago.
He threatens, and when you actually dish out what he's been serving you he'll start threatening you even more especially with Blacklisting.
This kid doesn't deserve to be even playing this game as much crap as this kid talks and pulls.
I've never had someone I hate on an online game as much as I hate him.
Svirus is the only person who will never come off of my Blacklist, and the only person in the game who I wouldn't lift a finger to help, even if it meant deleveling myself thousands of times!!!
I'd rather be pushed back down to a level 1 on all my jobs, have to work my way back up from Rank 1 and have all my quests wiped out that I've done, then help this punk out of a bad situation.

i know we just need to let this thread die and be burried but these two players need to get called out.

here is what happened.
i was lfg(as usual) and got an invite from roadmasterxx. i get to camp and its at caedarva's roaming camp. for whatever reason they decide to pick 1 camp and pull, which on its own is no big deal. we start pulling and fighting and though there is some bad communication in the beginning that causes a few awkward fights, i begin to see a trend, every fight i end up tanking most of the fight. i start holding back on JAs, saving my TP, spammping high jump and super jump and yet i still end up in red HP every single fight. at this point i start watching Tarah's mp pool, she's almost always empty and just standing there while our corsair uses evoker's roll on our DD pt which was just retarded to begin with. eventually she starts getting refresh and spends each fight either in /heal or just standing there. at one point she let me sit at 90 HP for two full fights. anybody else starting to see a problem here? nearly every fight i was hitting red HP, often getting as low as 150 HP before i got a cure of any kind. i wasn't even getting a regen.
at this point i get frustrated at the fact that the PLD and WHM seemed to be leeching exp. the other DDs a drk and sam weren't doing much damamge but i chalked that up to them being lvl 73 and maybe having problems with accuracy and didn't pay it much attention. at this point i did something to try to even the playing field and force the other DDs to step up. i equipped a staff and started using full swing over penta thrust as my main WS. i was still doing more damage than the sam on average(i had a parser running) though the drk was pulling ahead on some fights. the fights were lasting longer because the DDs were actually sharing the overall dmg instead of me doing most of it. eventually roadmasterxx decides that we should move to bhaflau thickets(sp?). tarah states that she had to leave soon and would be disbanding when we left the camp. i in turn respond that i would also be leaving the PT because and i quote exactly what i said "i'm gonna head out too. when i exp i like to use my lance but in this pt i can't because using my lance means that i'm going to be tanking since you really can't seem to hold hate. i'm not here to get killed" at this point i put on a warp cudgel and warped as they moved to leave the camp and cought aggro from an imp. the samurai mentioned in pt chat before i disbanded that he had blisted me i can only assume some of the others did the same.
keep an eye out for these two, tarah the whm that never has MP and when she does doesn't do much if anything with it, and roadmasterxx the 74 pld that doesn't know how to hold hate and exps in artifact armor.

at this point i get frustrated at the fact that the PLD and WHM seemed to be leeching exp. the other DDs a drk and sam weren't doing much damamge but i chalked that up to them being lvl 73 and maybe having problems with accuracy and didn't pay it much attention. at this point i did something to try to even the playing field and force the other DDs to step up. i equipped a staff and started using full swing over penta thrust as my main WS. i was still doing more damage than the sam on average(i had a parser running) though the drk was pulling ahead on some fights. the fights were lasting longer because the DDs were actually sharing the overall dmg instead of me doing most of it. eventually roadmasterxx decides that we should move to bhaflau thickets(sp?). tarah states that she had to leave soon and would be disbanding when we left the camp. i in turn respond that i would also be leaving the PT because and i quote exactly what i said "i'm gonna head out too. when i exp i like to use my lance but in this pt i can't because using my lance means that i'm going to be tanking since you really can't seem to hold hate. i'm not here to get killed" at this point i put on a warp cudgel and warped as they moved to leave the camp and cought aggro from an imp. the samurai mentioned in pt chat before i disbanded that he had blisted me i can only assume some of the others did the same.
keep an eye out for these two, tarah the whm that never has MP and when she does doesn't do much if anything with it, and roadmasterxx the 74 pld that doesn't know how to hold hate and exps in artifact armor.
