Why would you argue about who is the best tank ever? Does it matter? Do you get a special "im the best tank in the game hat" from maat if you are? The monster dies, people get the prize, thats a good tank. No downtime in xp pt, thats a good tank and a good pt. There are 100s of fantastic tanks on this server, the guy posted about 1 that he had seen himself, he didnt say that guy was the best ever on the server and the rest of the tanks suck, he said he was the best he had seen. This thread I think was supposed to acknowledge one guy who did a great job on an AF3, instead it becomes some strange debate on a guy tanking gods naked, honestly, who cares if he does? The people in that LS and thats about it. I'm all happy for battosi if he's an awesome tank and doesnt need gear to do whatever he wants.
And which German tank is better? Tanks really aren't all that great, soon as they bust a tread, its all downhill, like a fat girl at an empty buffet table.

like someone mentioned, this is a stats base game, and with that amount of merits, he probably capped all the necessary skills, etc to enhance his stats. Having great gear further those skills.

a sketchy generalization example is a 57 ninja with SH and better gear vs. one w/o the proper gear. Not including the skills of the player at hand, in this scenario one can slightly say the better equipped NIN has the upper hand.

in terms of "soloing" a God? unlikely. Its pure team work.

Give me double march and I don't care what it is or what gear I'm wearing. ^^ You barely even need gear, the only effect that matters for me is the +30 enmity I have on Provoke and Warcry. VIT/DEF don't matter much for blinktanks, so it's not too hard to tank easy stuff like gods naked as a joke, especially if your support is good. It's fun and silly though. ^^ I've tanked Genbu and Byakko solo. I haven't tanked Suzaku and Seiryu solo because Suzaku can ALWAYS go bad on the 2 hr no matter how good you are, and Seiryu to me is the god that most randomly says YOU'RE DEAD (once I popped him and he OPENED with three Fang Rushes. Thanks for cheating on TP, *******).

Anyways 2~3 tanks working together own anything and any of PLD/NIN/WAR can be excellent tanks, in some circumstances MNK is better than any of them, too. The game isn't as rigid as people think, it's more about the overall group and the players than it is what jobs people are or who individuals are.

If I had to pick ONE tank though - Isshin or Rudo.
