Okay so we complete this quest and we can call npcs to our sides? So now bst, smn, and drg arent the only ones with pets. And these things lv up??? does that mean exp will be shared or what? How is this going to affect solo play?

This reminds me of guildwars. You can hire henchmen (comp controlled chars) to help you with quests if you can't find a party for it.
Hope you can choose what job they are, i'd chose rdm for a personal refresh ***** everywhere i go :D
