Bismarck Linkshell CommunityFollow

Hello Alla,

I am posting here today because a project that im working on is coming to the point where we could use some outside influence. Myself and a good friend of mine have been working on the creation of a Linkshell Community site specific to the Bismarck server.

The premise of the idea is to create asite that linkshells can have a private forum for themselves and be able to communicate with other linkshells in a shared public forum. This serves two purposes. The first and foremost purpose is you have several members form LS posting in the same general forum with 0% trolls and nonrelevant members. This signifigantly increases the chances of being able to schedule a Cross LS event. It also provides a private forum for each LS so that they may discuss their internal linkshell business in a secure environment.

The community has private LS calendering for internal events and public calendaring for multi LS events. We are using groups to define Linkshells and its worked wondefully so far. This is a free service and the Community website & forums display no ads.
We currently have three medium to small sized Linkshells particiapting in the community and we are looking to house three more linkshells in the next few weeks.(We have to add them 1 at a time so we can baseline server and bandwidth performance). So if your linkshell does not have a private forum and you would like to be a part of this community or if you have a private forum and still want to be a part of this community then by all means please contact me via PM in this thread or in game.

We only have five requirements.
1) Your linkshell must have at least 10 members willing to participate.

2) We actually need your LS to use the resources so we can get a good idea of how much server resources it takes to host an LS

3) The site is in beta so we may need your help to work out some bugs before we open the doors entirely (report errors and answer questions and such..nothing to heavy)

4) Someone in your linkshell must know enough about forums and their general prctices to function as a moderator. You must moderate your own private forums (You will decide what content is acceptable there, and will also be responsible for moderation duties with your private forum..i.e. deleteing posts, stickies, or any other such duties.

5) Assholishness in the community section of this site will result in immediate removal. If you have mean people in your link then confine them to your private boards or just dont invite them.

This is not an attempt to make money or steal traffic away from sites such as Alla. It is simply an effort to bring linkshells closer together(most of them are very fluid as is) on our server and mabey organize some cross link events. If you are ineterested please contact me.

Thanks,

Goblobsters
