Some firends of mine have started up a Windurst linkshell for Garrison, EF, ballista, missions and such. Well, "Read This Before Applying!" thing did say it was an object-based LS - ie, higher level people killing higher level things to get money and items. Can't necessarily do that if you're level 12.

We would like to go after some of the events that you would normally get to participate in with other LS. (I.e set team EF's and garrisons...ive been playing this game since release and I have never really gotten to be very involved with either of those event types. If fact I still havent participated in my first EF). Yes item aquistion can and will certainly be involved in some of this process.

I'm going to argue the point about lowering requirements as well, primarily because the level caps on Garrisons (and EFs) actually do allow for a lot more lower-level participation. You can do Sarutabaruta garrison at 20 cap (and this is a really great "training" one) and others at 30 (Valkurm I'm pretty sure is 30, same for Buburimu).
The Dunes' EF is also a 30 cap if I remember correctly, and I'm sure there are others that are the same.
So while I do see the point about not wanting to have to carry lower-level folks through stuff, it's definitely possible to be lower-level and participate fully in stuff like that.

There is more then brute strength of your level.
There is also knowledge. I'm level 10 but I've taken down my share of HNM's AF quests etc..
The most notable HNM was Overlord Bakgodek.
As you may have guess this isn't my first character.
