As I understand it, the mid 40s are painful for most melee jobs (I came pretty close to quitting on my DRG) and I'm now there again on my PLD.
What I don't get is: When I was levelling my DRG, the invites were slow because (leaving aside the fact I'm a DRG ;p ) there were at any given time 366454653632 melee DD seeking (slight exaggeration)
Now I'm levelling my pally, I can typically find a ton of tanks on the LFP list, or a ton of mages with no DD whatsoever.
Do people not level DD jobs in this range any more? Or is this just Sod's Law in action?
I've been trying and failing to get/start a party for a week, and this is getting ridiculous.

That was actually my other theory. Evidence to support it includes the fact that earlier I switched to DRG (in the hope of BETTER invites! Oh the irony!) and 2 other DRGs with higher rank popped up in the LFP window.

LOL I got sick of trying to PT with my Sam because there were either A. NO Tanks .. or B. no Mages. Now look at it
It might be backlash from the melee glut we had at midsummer. Or it might also be that the melees are all in school ;D

the expensive stuff has came about in the 40s and it only gets more spensive.
im currently a 45 drk, but im shutdown till i get gear upgraded and im seeing alot of the DDs i lvled with farming also.
sux to stop xping but DDs get a hard enough time over thier armor not being up to par.

I've imposed a ban on all DD in their 40s and 50s.
I have no plans to rescind this decree in the near future. If at any point, I feel this ban should be lifted, a public service announcement will be made to notify the masses.

I made it to 75 as drk... but holy geebus did 50-60 about kill me.

The truth is, for some reason classes seeking for the last couple of weeks have been classes that either a. dont work together, and would not be affective. B. Just none to start.
I'm a 46 RDM (highest class) And parties when i hit 41 were very often, now at 46...lately all i have seen is RDM's and BLM's and Mnks! And i'm not usually one to sit back for hours and wait. If i see enough out there, I start something, but you cant really do that either lately. Hopefully things will change.Getting a invite as you type in "/shutdown" can really **** you off.
But at least it gives me time to work on af1 and other quests. LOL i happened to ride the ferry to selbina and got the bronze box for my windy quest. YIPPIE!
