Holloween GatheringFollow

Ello folks. It's almost Holloween, and I'm tired of the holiday events getting lagged and greed taking over the vendors. I'm tired of Squenix doing hack rehashes of stuff done in the past. So, I've decided to do something of my own. (Well, not really. I took the idea from Byaina's christmas some time ago. Props to her for it.)

I'm trying to organize one of my own. At first, it started out as a LS thing for my group, HipNat. Then, I figured I'd get other linkshells in from [link=www.bismarckcommunity.com]The Bismarck Community[/link]. Looking over the member list there, I realized that I wouldn't see some of the famous people on here. ;-P So, wanting some fun, friends, and autographs, I'm posting about it here. I'm going to ask a few people I know to make candy and fireworks, which I'll distribute at the gathering. If ya want to bring some of your own, cool. I'll have some to share with everyone.

So, the details are:
When: Friday, 6pm Eastern standard time.
Where: Ru'Lude Gardens in Jeuno
Who: Mortimer of Doomspeakers LS, me, our linkshells, and hopefully everyone reading this.
Why: Read above about the food, fun, and autographs. ;-P Also, I figure that since I'm a compulsive crafter, I could get advice from fellow crafters on non-smithing stuff.

Merodi, of course you can. I'd be disappointed if you didn't. ^^

Go for whatever you think is best. I'd like a bit of diversity, but whatever you want to make is cool with me.

Well actually the point of the race is not to be challenging it to have umm... well it's this stuff you guys used to have when you first started playing... dern it what was that called again?... Oh man just got to think some more... OH YEAH! it was called FUN! {Do you need it?} {Yes Please}

The race is really meant to simulate being drunk and silly. If you find such a "Challenge" as having simple fun with people to be beneath you TseTsuo by all means do not show up. To the rest of you who still remember what fun is please come and enjoy HipNat and Doomie hospitality.

To Dryus no items will be permitted at all (not that there will be people watching you. Honor system and all) and yes that is a great idea about the two hours being used at the start before the Zone out into Sarumonge.

Hey Mort...for the record, I dont think TseTsuo was arguing or saying that he doesnt want to have fun. We all know this is going to be fun. :p

I agree with him that some of the routes you mentioned are a little too easy. Besides, if you want to have fun...then read the chat logs as a lvl 1 character is 1 shotted near the end of the race. I laughed harder the last time I did one of these than I ever have.

Personally I think San d'Oria - Beaucidine Glacier would be funny as hell. Getting through that door...OMG...would that take some timing and skill.

I'm sorry I wasn't able to come by. :( I've been very sick the last few days and I conked out at my desk about 20 minutes after logging into FFXI. I hope everyone had a good time!
