so anyone figure out how mob tp works? so yeah im here camping nue while writing this post. now what just happened was i was fighting a tundra tiger and a gob poacher shows up so to try and save time i voke the poacher. in the time it took for me to kill the tundra tiger the poacher has used 5 ranged attacks and missed all 5. so when i kill the tiger instead of auto attacking the poacher i put my scythe away. in the time it took for me to run from where i was to the poacher and pull out my scythe the poacher had missed one ranged attack and one normal attack. so i finally hit the poacher once then he misses me again and immediately follows his miss with a goblin rush.

so this kinda leads me to believe that maybe mobs dont get tp. or perhaps they still get tp with every attack whether they hit or miss? or maybe they have some ability like meditate where they constantly get tp while in battle? i dont know if anyone has any ideas on this let me know cause it kinda pissed me off.

oh and another thing... any one figure out how japanese do their math? i mean i get aspir cast on me it says 33 mp drained from me but i end up losing 41... then i get drained for 0 and lose 22 hp. this is the damn reason i always ended up going to summer school >.< damn math always ******* with my head!

Aspir I don't know.
But Drain, drain itself causes damage alone you don't need to pull HP to hurt something with it (Notice 71 Blm >^.^<).
Now this is just my idea.
In the case of gobbies, Goblin Rush.
I have been thinking maybe its like the rangers Barrage that it can be used at any time with I'd say a low timer on it.
And Gobbie Bomb is a TP move.

Now this just my idea no one really knows for sure but SE.

I agree with the Bio/Aspir info posted by FearXI. Say the gob has 100/100 HP and 67/100 MP. What you have doesn't matter. If the gob casts Drain on you, you could lose 22 HP or 250 HP, but it would show 0 HP because he's full. If the gob casts Aspir on you, he could aspir 41 MP or 90 MP from you, but it would show 33 because after that he was full.

I've seen a gobbo do Bomb Toss three times one immediatly after another at one time before, so I really don't know.

How I've had it explained to me:

For how weapon hits are calculated in terms of mob TP, it's WTP+3*hits.

So if I'm using two single-handed axes that give 6 TP per axe, it's (6+3)*2, or 18 TP per attack round. Subtle Blow (MNK and NIN JT, or on gear like the Rajas Ring) will effect the +3 in the equation; for the Rajas Ring (Subtle Blow+5), it will make the new equation with double axes (6-2)*2, or 8 TP.

As for magic, I have no idea. This is just what BST have come up with, AFAIK.
