I'm guessing Nony tried to profit from the mistake by jacking prices up higher, realized it didn't work, gave in and sold it. This Sheyenne person must be loving it :D

Wow...that's almost believable so I'll just leave that one alone. =P

I still think they are greedy retards, but in addition the are STOOPID greedy retards. They should have asked the person that sold it to them to refund the gil. It would have been simpler and less shady. Now there will be a question as to the reputation of those 2 or 3 guys. All in all an excellent job. Even if it were true how does that explain all the other price gauging we see. IMO they were just jumping on the gravy train. (not the Galka, but the trend of price bumping.

lol, grats to fios on such a cheap investment XD. when people are dumb enough to keep listing an item for 1 gil constantly in a row they should expect someone to notice and take advantage.

I wanted to jump in here and clear something up. I spoke with Nony the other day, he's in my LS, and what happened in his situation is that he though that he was buying a SH +1 and not a nq one, so it was as simple mistake, if you look at the history in an effort to reset the problem he sold the one he bought back for 15mil in essence taking an 11million gil loss just to fix the mistake that he made so before you flame him think about the good thing that he did there. He was in no-way trying to manipulate the market, those of you who know him should know better.

If you want someone to be upset with be upset with the asshats that are now all bazaaring their venomous claws for 20mil a piece and refusing to lower their prices back down because they don't think it was a mistake. It won't be long till a nq costs 30mill and a hq 60mill at this rate if those prices won't come down.

BTW Tracy.... my Jeuno mule always buys my equipment. Last thing I bought is an Ebow for 8mil (lol last one for 8 mil before it ran up to 10mil, lucky me). The problem is I live and die by my Outpost Warps so my HP is set in Windy which means I'm never in Jueno. So it is far easier to send money to a mule and have them buy it and send it back.

It's not just the sellers, it's the people buying. If anything, it's more the people too impatient to wait that buy gil on IGE and buy SH for ridiculous prices. I don't blame people for selling them at the going price the AH is asking for -- people have to make gil. If they got the claw as a legitimate drop, I wouldn't fault them for not lowering their price. It'd take a man/woman with balls of steel to sell something for 5-10 mil under AH price in the name of the economy. That, and it wouldn't do any good if nobody else is doing it. I don't know a single person who would miss out on 5-10 mil and sell to a greedy ******* who -- regardless of price -- still bought their gil on IGE.

The best advice I've got is wait, and try not to rip each other to shreds in the process. Bismarck still has a great community, but all this crazy talk about economy has turned a lot of friends in to enemies. People will start undercutting soon, you just have to have a little patience. It's what sepparates us from gilbuyers!

Actually in the real world Bush doesn't have much to do with the economy... he is just someone you can point a finger at.
