Hello everyone, it is Weakness yet again.

Well as you all know I have the attention span of a moth, but I truly need some guidance on this. Well a brief history.

My first advanced job I played was DRK, I kind of liked it, but nothing was ever wowing from it. And then, I met RNG... I totally fell in love with the job and was the reason I had level 88 Woodworking. Well once I got RNG to 40 my NIN sub had become gimp, so instead of leveling NIN I decided to ***** around and became a DRG. DRG instantly became my new love.

Now here is my question... DRG or RNG? I love both jobs soooooooo much. I am currently a level 52 DRG and I just now unlocked RNG so it is only level 5. But I don't know which way to go, I just need an overall opinion from the community on which job everyone would prefer to see me as.

Play what you want to play.

Don't look to these boards to see what people prefer you to be...play the game you want to play. Alla represents MAYBE 20% of the population of Bismarck...who cares what we think? If I had a real choice I would want you to play a Sandy Stripper...but that job isn't available and you prolly have hairy legs.

Just play the game, and have fun doing it. That is all that matters. Every job has value in this game. Only the shortsighted can't see that.

Umm...just for clarification...at first you said you have lvl 40 RNG, then you said you just unlocked RNG and it's only lvl 5 o.O Just wondering which one it is Smiley: smile

But anyways, I'd have to go with everybody else's advice and say go with whichever job you like best. Of course to keep up RNG and NIN sub requires deep pockets, so that may have some bearing as well.

He means on his old character. He deleted his character a few months prior, and has since recreated it.

And you know what I'm gonna say on this one.

DRG sucks.

I'd go drg tbh ^_^

Also w/o your woodworking, both rng and the nin sub will violate your wallet.

Why not be a DRG/RNG? XD;

Hmmm...what would that combo or its reverse give you now that I think about it...? This calls for some exploration!

Hmm, actually it isn't as bad as you might think. A bundled stack of Shihei (99 x12) is ~120k and that will go a LOOOOOOOOONG way if I am just pulling and not tanking as RNG. And then your average price of bolts are ~10k a stack, you use around 3 stacks an hour so 30k an hour. Now add in the cost of food of around ~30k for a stack of sushi. So divide 30 by 2 (2 sushi per hour) and you only have 32.5k an hour. Equipment for RNG is mildly cheap now a days so that wont be an issue. so you are looking at ~1,745,000 per every ~50 hours.

Which really isn't so bad seeing as I wouldn't have to upgrade equipment very often (Bows usually last 10 levels, and depending on stats some body equip will last longer then 10).

Now seeing as a melee can spend 1-10 million on a single item it doesn't seem so bad... thing is a melee can sell his equipment and get his money back, but hey I can average ~200k an hour farming, so in all honesty it isn't as expensive as people make it out to be assuming you have a little bit of work ethic to farm from time to time.

And to this...

Alauce explained it, I forgot to mention I quit back in August and had to restart my character because SE wouldn't restore my old one. I used to be a 65 DRG, 60 MNK, 50 DRK, 40 RNG, 40 WAR, and 40 THF. So meh, I have some experience playing around with jobs.

Anyway an update for everyone, I have decided to go RNG main. I am going to try to be RNG/WAR more often the RNG/NIN due to higher damage output (;;>.> that and I hate leveling NIN), but also because I like ******** around and doing things differently just to be... well different. So wish me luck on my conquest of taking RNG/WAR to 75!

Maybe both at the same time?
Ex: 10 lvl of ranger, followed by 10 lvl of Drg

No need to limit yourself to one job <.< >.>
