Well everyone, as you've probably seen in Byaina's thread, she's leaving the game; and not suprisingly, I am as well. Before I go any further, let me just get the reasons out of the way:

It is not that I don't enjoy final fantasy XI anymore, it's because I simply don't have the time / combined willpower to invest anymore. I work fulltime now, (over 40 hours a week) and am a full time student. I only have one quarter left before I'm done with school, and I want to make the most of it. At this point most of you are probably asking why I dont just take a break. Well, the main reason is that I feel like if I play the game I want to be the best, and I dont have the willpower to play catch-up after taking a three month break. All of that said, I've spent over 160 days in the game-- I shudder to think what else I could have done with that much time, it's time to start writing my book and working on publishing I suppose ;).

With that out of the way, I don't regret any of the time I've spent in the game. I've made so many close friends, have had a ton of laughs and good memories, and I met the love of my life. I've come to the point where I need to move back into my life and make the most of it, I just cant do 10-20 hours of gaming a week anymore, and any less than this and I wouldnt be happy with my character in the game. So, in closing, here's my friends list from the game- thank you to EVERYONE on it, and to those of you not on, why didn't you send me an invite?! :P

Gunslinger, I barely knew ye. In fact, I think the most we spoke was back when you were level 15 in Ghelsba and I did some healing on you as a lowbie PLD.

Man I know it's rude to say something on this post when I really shouldn't but I hate when I hear about ppl leaving and I don't know them. Makes me think its one less friend to know :( anyway although I don't know u Gunslinger all I'm gonna say is that Vanadiel will miss u. Gl with ur life Gunslinger^^

After much talk I've been convinced to go from "quitting" to "undetermined break." Sooooo.... guess you're not quite rid of me yet, but dont count on seeing me as much as you did :P Sorry to everyone I gave my stuff to for coming back lol, I know it was a huge pain. But hey, you're the ones who convinced me to stay.

Well, it did take awhile, but the 'farewell' didn't go off since a bunch of our friends said they couldn't make it. So, we just decided we'd delay it, then once I decided I was taking a break instead of leaving we canceled it outright. So, yeah, Ill be around still I guess, just not as much as I was.
