I just sold a Kriegsbell(sp) for 7 million gil the other day. I couldn't really fix a price cuz there have only really ever been two for sale on ah.

So my question is-what is the actual going rate on the axe more or less. I know inflation is a bit rampant still, but how much could I have sold it for ya think?

Between 7-12mil is about the market value of the Axe. Although IMO its not worth that price.
