I for one am going to PM him and ask why. Try to get a direct answer instead of this posting game he is playing with people.

Message sent to Allakhazam:

Hey, never sent you a message before because I have never had a problem with your site. It's a great resource, and I love the server forums and the Tradeskill section. I know your very busy so I will keep this short. If you have the time to respond I would very much appreciate it, because frankly there are a lot of threads going around suddenly and I do not know what to believe. You are saying that you sold your website to a parent company that now owns IGE. I've read in the main Zam.com Q&A thread that you are saying that Allakhazam.com will be left alone, but what guarantee do we, your users have that things will stay the same. You stated just last December that you will not be bought out, yet you changed your mind about that. What guarantee do we have that you will not change your mind about hosting currency selling ads on the site, or worse altering it for the worse. A contract is a contract, but it can be amended provided both parties agree. If you are owned by a parent company who is to say that they won't change their mind and either convince you, or you will agree to go along farther down the road? I mean, those of your members who pay premium accounts will in a sense be supporting that which they hate, the currency selling behemoth IGE. Sure it is through different companies and the money changing hands is not direct, but it is still happening. I eagerly look forward to your response.

You know what Allakhazam and IGE have in common? They both seek to make money of FF XI in particular, MMORPGs in general.

As long as Allakhazam stays IGE-ad free, I see no reason to stop contributing...

I'll be staying as well. I see no need to abandon a wealth of information. I've never bought game currency, and I never will.
