Linkshells come and go, along with people. Such is the way of life and of Vana'diel. Even when promises are made to be around until the end, when the servers are finally taken offline...

Those promises aren't always kept.

All one can do is to remember the good times that were had, and try to forget the bad. To take what one has learned and apply it towards whatever he or she might do in the future.

You see the end of a HNMLS. I see the beginning of a new era in alot of player's lives. One chapter may have closed...

But another is just beginning.

The question is now how those people will chose to write it.

None of us are 100% sure what really happened with our shell.
But yeah we are all moving on some have made new shells some applied to others.
We had ALOT of talent in 42 and other linkshell would be wise to try to grab up anyone from 42 they can imo.

We may not have been the best shell on the server but we had some real potential to be one of the best.... things just... I dont even know wtf happened.

Top of the world one day, disbanded the next.

Oh well, as nights said these things happen and are common.
We will all move on and write the next chapter of our lives in Vana'diel.

I think its funny when people pull the "Oh noes, I was hacked card" and 500 million gil goes missing.

Albeit, some "hacked" cases can be true but in 90% of them cases the retarded person in question 1) gave out their ID/PW, or 2) DLed a nice new bot with a trojan, orz.

But to /breaklinkshell a week after...lol. Somethings amiss.

I'm puttin my gil on another new relic on Bismarck soon for someone and then a server transfer shortly thereafter.

It is a shame that the LS has disbanded, and since i am getting barraded with tells about "What happend to the LS" i assume Alla would make an ok forum for it to come out.

We kicked members after finding out they were using hacks, which then our bank got hacked. After which moral was considerably down due to it. No one had any motivation for doing anything. Once leadership all agreed to try to change things up to get more ppl to come to events, a couple LS members said they did not agree with the change. Which then led to some of the leadership changing there vote from that change and also throwing the other leaders under the bus. Once that happend the LS became divided, and after 1 person showing up to an event, it essentially disbanded.

I will not mention any names regarding who did what, because frankly that is no ones buisness, they know who they are. I preety much chalk it up to alot of frustraighing things happpening to an LS which just came to ahead. i think we had alot of talent in 42, and possibly at one time we could have been a great LS on the server. I will remember all the good memories i had in 42 and i wish all of the members good luck and godspeed both in game and out.

Thanks
Mach

What?!

I meant no disrepect to 42 as a shell, a few friends there, and It was a good shell for sure, shame its gone.

But, giving out your ID and PW to LS members and them logging on you and taking your gil doesn't consititute being "hacked".

RIP 42, died too young.

If you knew who was holding our bank, you would know that god himself wouldnt have his contact info.

My mistake Mach, seems like I missread/heard something that was false then. Regardless, people throw this "hacked" term out there like Mini-sips @ Recess, or like fat kids and chocolate bars, or like Aron's mom and a 20 dollar Canadian bill...oh I've gotten sidetracked.

Wrong or right, I am sure they had reason. You just arent privy to that information. Nor was your friend, or maybe he was but it would make him look bad and he/she couldnt bear not to look good in your eyes so he/she kept it from you.

My condolances to 42. I wouldn't mind knowing who all you booted for hacking, as to protect everyone else from thier hackyness.

I agree with this statement. Say what you will about the leadership, they had a reason for every kick I saw. And I was one of 'em :)
