I'm not even 100% certain that someone Japanese did this.

There's plenty of people who like the Haruhi ending and would do something like this... Just check the rest of the related sites and you'll see plenty of spoofs on the Haruhi ED.(I like the Gundam one)

Just downloaded the Haruhi serious via limewire and am in the middle of watching the rather small series (=P and burning it into DVD form). And I must say...
