What in the hell is going on here? I was trying to mine there and it seems there is a group dominating the mining points there. Tomgg (we all know who that is), Vgaj, Vgai, Pinkladys, among others would all stand at a point and as it moved they would mine it. Are they RMT?
Vgaj and Vgai are. Ive seen them doing other RMT activity such as those crazy alliance exp PT's with the noob gear - didnt know they were into mining though.
You missed one, Pinkladys and Iceangel are a team. When all the other angel's got banned, Iceangel (who had moved to Gusgen to mine instead of camping Morion Worm) teamed up with Pinkladys (I actually think they are actually same company/person/group) and they mine darksteel. Pinkladys has about 60 smithing and when they are full of darksteel ore they go to south sandy and turn it all into ingots, then sell in jeuno, then go back to the mines.
*(Lots of patience + 2 inventories full of darksteel) - guild price of iron oreX3 - undercutting the AH (just enough) = holy damn profits*

Man that's irritating. I used to enjoy mining there before I quit. Now I'm in Movoplolis but there is a bit of competition (although it's friendly enough).
Sometimes there's a bunch of Galkas in there too. You'll prob see me in there once or twice; I stick to Moval primarily. Reason being I can desynth the masks and synth the iron ore for skillups, and also the fact that pickaxes don't seem to break NEARLY as much in there as in Gusgen.
Anyway, just one less mining point thief you'll have to worry about. :p

BaoBao, Renangle, Daneel, Iocheno, Iceangel, Pinkladys, Tomgg, Tombb, a hume male that begins with a C in oldton, thats all i can remember off the top of my head.
its also worth noting that at least some of these have a hack by which points are deplteded without mining at them, instantly. i followed one of them for several hrs and not once did i see then pull a pickaxe out only to leave the point depleted as soon as they stopped (btw it was one of the male taru ones i followed).
Yeah its pretty damn crap really, pretty obvious whats going on but nothing will be done i feel...

Things have really changed. I remember way back anybody could go in Gusgen, and come out rich. Anymore, you're fighting for one spot. Went to Gusgen a few weeks ago to get my RSE, and I could have sworn there was atleast one person per spot, and everybody was in a party too, so some of it is done by a team.

I've been lost in that mine soooooo many times and she came to my rescue!
Such as when I was doing the teleport quest! I was lost more than George W. Bush In a wet paper bag! (I like Bush, couldnt think of more analagies).
And she came and showed me the way out, gave me a friendly /goodbye /bow
And a tell. Even if she is a RMT I will defend that nice little taru (Taru right?
