I was just checking my email like any other day, and I have this one email from someone I dont know...almost dismissed it as spam, but for some odd reason I clicked on it, and I got this:

Actually I got a random message last night from a "Roy" on my yahoo messenger. I didnt say anything back except "um....and you are?" Then he said "Roy, and what may I call you?" I hit ignore after that. But if it was someone wanting to buy my gil, the whole 300k I have atm, they're sorely out of luck seeing as I cant play half as often as I'd like. Any gil I happen to somehow earn defanitly wont be going to those clowns.

The RMT are hardly desperate. They are ingenious.
Here is what they are planning. This is just my forecast.
When you arent busy take a gander at the AH, notice any items being bought by RMTs? There are many, and they are buying lots of them. These are items that have fallen by as much as 50% of the price from what they were 6 months ago. These are items that desynth into nothing valuable, cannot be used in further synths, and have no other reason for being bought in mass quanity. So wtf are they doing?
I think they are getting ready to flood the market. The RMT are in control of the economy, believe it or not, yes, they control it right now. Maybe they want to buy your gil because they want to remove some currency from the market, and further affect the economy when they cause a backflip in gil-worth. SE may do this already with their taxes and chocobo fees, but RMT do it even more. That is their job too and they get paid more than SE to do it!
Anyways this is just a rant. RMT wont be stopped, just try to anticipate what they will do and plan ahead. I personally have been mimicing them, and buying cheap things. If and when they flood the market with gil and jack prices back up, I will be ready to line my pockets so I can keep my head above water. I suggest you think ahead as well so you are not caught off guard.
On another note, has anyone noticed some of the threads about making gil through farming and crafting have been disapearing from the forums here? It is disgusting to me that they are sinking so low as to buy public forums and edit them for their own gain.
IGN or IGE w/e they are called owns alla, so if you have contact information listed with your alla account they dont have to sell it to RMT, they are the RMT.

HA! So am I. I am stocking up on a few choice things (high end armor comes to mind) that are way down in price. Why you ask? Because in a few months the Xmas inflation will begin and I will double or triple my gil. During the height of it last year, SH was near 10mil and the weskit hit over 12mil. Although the weskit price is forever ******* the SH will go up drastically over the winter months. And if it doesnt, then I'll take a minor loss on the armor.

It's more likely your MSN/email address is known to RMT companies as a FF XI player, the same way spam and trojans find your info. Either you, or someone you know, installed an infected FF XI cheat/hack.
If Alla was the source of the info, there would have been a whole lot more complaints... as well as law suites.
