Willing to lend me a nobles tunic? I'll love you forever :D

Almost 68 now and my white mage testimony is sat in my mog locker staring at me, I'd kinda like to beat Maat and I'd probably go insane in the age that it'll take me to make the 5 mil for this.

I'm using the cure method (if that wasn't obvious?) 'cause my staff skill is pathetic, and I know that the tunic will be a big help. You can have it back straight away afterwards. Honest.

Get in contact with me in-game or here or wherever, I'm usually everywhere. Thank you :D

Honestly a Nobles isn't needed to beat Maat. I did it with my AF gear and a light staff. Yes I did the healing method myself. I did plenty of research, asked alot of questions and beat him on my first try. =D

Good luck!!

You're best bet is to have a few Yag drinks, Blinding potions, and bat earrings. With the +30 evasion, he'll whiff a few times, allowing you to get much-needed Cures in and buffs. Also, use an Earth Staff.
The Physical Damage Taken: -20% will help you out a ton. =)

My WHM friend beat Maat at level 66 his 1st try. He just really read up on everything that needed to be done to win and he had a large supply of HP and MP potions. You'll be fine.

He still doesn't have his nobles yet, but because all prices are tanking down the toilet for what used to be considered valuable and expensive items (thank you ******* RMT's), in a couple weeks, he should be able to afford one.

I know that it isnt really -needed-, but I bet it can help out a ton. With the +10% cure potency from nobles and the -20% damage taken on an earth staff I could probably save a few gil on some ethers too.

But thank you all for the advice ^^

I'd probably consider getting my own if I ever got my hands on some shining cloth, but not until then.

I don't think you can melee him anymore. I was going to do it and my friend told me he tried. I was going to black halo---->icaris wing--->hexa.. just to see what would happen. If you do end up going the melee route.. let me know what happens.

And it's too bad you aren't on Ifrit, i would have given mine to you before i deleted.

Well I just beat Maat today ^^ Now its over I dont know what I was so worried about. I couldnt get my paws on a Nobles tunic so I opted for a medicine ring instead, which probably did the same but at 4k, who cares. In the end I only used one High-ether and my food. Maat finally wimped out at about 8 minutes, and I still had enough MP to warp out.

Thank you everyone who offered help and advice ^^ and if anybody needs help with this in the future I can share my non-wisdom.
