New Digging and FIshing BotsFollow

#1 Jan 22 2007 at 3:27 PM Rating: Decent
In the past I had commented on Gears and Megogo being dig botters. When they introduced the 100 item limit for digging back in October, Gears and Megogo pretty much dissappeared. Then I notice this thread in the general forums commenting about a possible dig bot that may have been introduced that gets around the 100 item limit.

Low and behold, my old friends are showing up in the search again in their regular areas. I figured I would take a peek at FFXIAH.com and notice Gears has sold 13 stacks of Gold beastcoins in a 3 day period and then an additional 5 stacks of Gold Ingots in the last couple days. This has all happened since the 18th of January.

Gears

Now maybe he was saving up, but it seems extremely odd.

In addition, there appears to be a mass amount of coral fragments showing up in the last few days. Take a look at these three people. This is an amazing amount of fragments in just days time:
Corabis
Sovye
Cbisn

It does appear this is happening across all servers where there are several people with names similar to Cora... that are doing most of the coral fragment fishing/digging etc..

Here is thread regarding coral fragments
Just making you all aware of people on our server.

May not be bots, its not an uncommon practice for RMT to take shifts on characters, so that one person on 24/7 may be 2-4 people playing that account.

I remember his other thread. No RMT, hell no human being can follow the same path exactly.

Even so, there is a 100 item limit on digging per earth day. The chance of digging that many beastcoins in that short of time is impossible with the limit in effect.

Fishing I can't say much for, but I that is a pile of fragments. It is possible to dig up fragments too, so those could be from digging as well.

Edit:
Add another 4 stacks of coins to gears list.

Realised now I should have taken screen shots instead of linking.

With the help of SE and GM's I was able to get rid of a multitude of RMT Fisherman & Cooks, like Osk, Ossk, Osssk, Oosk, Oossk, Resey, Reesey, etc you get my point. 19 RMT in all they got rid of per my reporting a couple months ago. I was overjoyed and was starting to fish and cook again.

But yeah, there are new ones popping up everywhere. At least with the new fisherman and cooking RMTs, they're trying not to have bleeding obvious names like before, so it's a bit difficult to see the pattern. There is AWZ....I still have to study his patterns before I report him.

The thing about these new RMT's that's different from the ones I reported on, they are complacent and try to keep away from real players. Before, they would be in my face, emote me and be brazen with disrespect. Not anymore. Doesn't mean I like them. I still want them gone.

But honestly, if you have serious proof they are working for an RMT and have researched it for months, do go to the new SE Squad and they will help you. Naturally they will say they will look into it, and they do. Just be nice, polite and informative and thank them. They will get to the bottom of it, but they need proof and do the research on your behalf.

Good to hear you got rid of them Amiraphe. I cook myself a lot too. Yep noticed AWZ and also Bisda. If you have read that coral fragment post on the main forum before. I wonder if Bisda is short for Bismarck-da....

Edit: If you search "Bis" on Bismarck you will see a ton of RMT. Latest one seems to be Bisapp (1/27/2007)... he is working on ninjutsu scrolls. Quite a few "Bis" named players on sushi and fishing too...

I've been fighting the tiger NM's in batdowns since wednesday of last week. I've yet to beat them. I've had to temp log several times because they are much harder than I anticipated. Unfortunitely, by the time I stop running from them an stop to log out, I am too close to all those lvl1 fishers named asfkjsg. I feel bad, I always /s {Run Away} {Danger} but not a single one ever moves. By the time I log back in, those 5 black tigers are eating tarukabobs, and slowly moving down the entire coast.

I sit around waiting for the string of /tells calling me any number of names, asking me for a raise, anything. Not a single person. Hmmm, maybe I'm not such a bad person after all. Admittedly, all I've done is slow them down an hour, if that. It sure does bring a smile to my face though, and it's even funnier when they finally realize whats going on and one by one the bots start running to the cave to hide. Knowing what a mass pile of dead lvl1 fishbots looks like now, it kind of bores me watching the carnage, instead of templogging, I have resorted to just warping and going about my day. So if you make your way out to see the spectacle of fishbots, and all you see is a bunch of bodies laying around, I probably just left, watch out for the tigers, they agro lvl75.

I finally witnessed the 5 Tigers NM (this NMs will aggro level 75 PC) killing the fishermen botters. However, it looks like the botters have hired high level PCs to protect them from MPK'ers. Other than that it was funny watching the botters being mauled to pieces by the tigers.

We even shouted, /sh {run away!} {monsters} {danger}, but they just stood there while being massacred. One of the tarus realized this and started to run away, but to no avail.

I think Bisda is an old RMT I got rid of in the last pack known as Bissss. Some old names are hard to shake with these guys.

The newer RMT seem to hang in Battalia Downs now, but they are so obvious that they were banned and a new wave came in. Seems each week there are new ones. They have a funny tactic that works miserably.

Part of my joy is when I fish there is to see them get aggro from a crab or one of the beastmen when they are casting. That costs them time to zone back in and run all the way back to the cliff without getting aggro. So what they ended up doing is have 3-4 RMT combing the shore and if they see any crab or beastmen coming towards their fishermen, these 3-4 RMT to purposefully take the aggro and die to deflect them.

It was hysterical to watch and it didn't work very well, but funny how their minds work. This time, these groups all have composite rods (I guess buying them all Lu Shangs were too expensive, especially if they get booted so often) and using rogue rigs. All they catch are rings, mythril swords and rusty picks and GS's.

I think they realized it wasn't working out very well because I haven't seen Battalia populated with them for a week now.

They've all gone back to fishing moat carp I suspect - 19 fishbots alone in Windurst Water North last night....names noted and will be emailed to the relevant people through POL viewer later today (I'd have done it last night but after getting a pt invite and kicking the crap out of goblins for an hour or two I forgot! DOH!) >.<

Goes to show ya, you cut one head off the grow another.
Sometimes the swing SE gives to cut the head off catches legit players.

Now honestly with all the GS fighting (banning) and catching legits really helping when it's just as easy for them to go buy another copy of FFXI.

They lost them legit players most likely for good. SE needs to work a bit harder on keeping them out. Not but making everything harder to get GS won't give up because it's harder, just makes the legit person stop to give full profits to the GS. GS still fish bot still dig.

And yes this is a very late night rambling...
