Everyone is in Aht Urghan Whitegate, clogging the chatlog and generally making the place look untidy...

thus i present to you the
GO THE HELL HOME campaign.
ie: do that silly little wildcat quest in your home nations
and set your homepoints there n00bz! (you know the one that
warps you to ToAU area for 300 gilz)
I agree on both of these counts.
In Aht Urghan, I am often tempted to set my chat filters (all of them, save party and LS) to off. I can't manouver anywhere w/o passing through the bodies of about 20 people at any given moment while in the major area's (that'd be around the MH, the main courtyard, and at the AH). And speaking of the AH, I dare not use the AU AH, cuz then I can't move at all. And even on the occasion it becomes necessary to tolerate the lag, I do NOT sell anything on the AU AH ... OMG! The TAXES! It may be the same as the Jeuno AH, but the Empress is a greedy little winch and charges at least double the tax. O.o
I did the Bastok wildcat quest, now I can be tele'd to AU from my hometown. Where is my homepoint? AHT URGHAN! Why? I ask ... WHY? And to answer my own question, because the new teleport-to-AU thingy does not seem to have caught on. People expect you to be able to warp directly from w/e you are to AU. Set your home point to Port Bastok ... oops! no invites. I can be in AU in 2 shakes of a lambs tail, but I guess that is 1 shake longer than a direct warp and people apparently can't wait that long. They might lose their camp or something. lol
Correct me if I am wrong, the teleport to AU works in any of the 3 nations you have completed the "Call of the Wildcat" quest for. Not just your hometown. The only one teleport services are not offered from is Jeuno.
