Moving to new worlds from Lakshmi, and I want to know which occupations are the most desirable on Bismark before I decide where to move to. I want to start a character to play from start to finish and develop a good community here, and have no previous bad record. I like end game, but want to develop a better archetype in the early stages and decide a different tactic altogether is necessary before getting to that point.

seconded! in the low level bracket, there's always a dozen mage or support type jobs LFG, a handful of DDs and never any tanks.

It doesn't help either, that in the last two expansions, they've introduced 5 new advanced jobs, and no new tank-type jobs among them (but in defense, and by experience, if the need gets rough, a pair of DNC can tank decently.)

I will say any and all jobs are needed having rdm and pld to 51 on 2 diff chars and looking for parties for hours at a time. Maybe my reputation is awful or people are just speciest*? a form or racism but since we are all not the same species it cant really be racism can it? Either way Job Enjoyment > invite rate espically now since you can get exp in other ways then parties like /bst or the expansion areas that just hand out exp for attendence.

But welcome to one of the best servers of the game as we are full of helpful people and any bad seeds you run into are probally immigrants banished from other servers just waiting out their next transfer period.

no, tank you. I wonder if there are any LS's for the 10s, 20s and 30s. The 40s and 50s seem some of the hardest to find parties for. I think leveling a tank job to start and then an alternate job seems like a fine plan. Are there scores of black mages looking for parties in the late stages for Kindred Seals? I have a thousand questions, maybe I'll just leave at that and log in.
