I am on cerberus and have a friend starting tonight, how do I get him a worldpass?
You can buy one in any city. The one in Bastok is in Port at the far end towards the bridge. The guy is in a tent with near the regional vendors. There is a possibility I'm confusing him with a guy in Markets, but I'm about 85% sure it's Port. :-b They cost a variable amount of gil based on your current fame for that city.
Hmm.. anyone remember how long Worldpasses are good for? I bought one not too long ago so you could get him in via mine if you'd like. If you see me in game (Nezha) and haven't bought a world pass, give me a tell and I can try to make it to Bastok to check the status of mine (that is, if no one on the forum knows how long they're good for).
passes are good for 1 week from the time you bought the pass from the npc.
D'oh... that's what I thought. I'll have to check when my friend got on but I think it's expired already then. ;;

Since I don't think mine is still active, there is a world pass vendor in the three starter cities. I bought mine in Bastok. He's in the port area east of the airship building (across the bridge and in a tent). It cost me a little over 1k to buy it with max Bastok fame.
