I got screwed over last night, so I wasn't able to fight in this Promyvion, so I was thinking of Saturday to do it again, and I'd like 3 RNGs at least for this

Hey Corrderio,
count me in as WHM - I'll be glad to go up again for you.
I'm sure team Thrilla won't let you down either.
Let me know what time you want to do it and when you want to farm recollections for it.

I just hope I can get DEM done before Saturday.

WARNING, slight rant:

Our alliance (which was only 12 people - the third party bailed out due to lack of members) failed miserably due to ppl not listening and not being prepared.
We were on the third floor and killed the memory receptacle, but instead of killing that last stray that was attacking one of my party members and me spamming: "Kill it first" the alliance decided to warp to the 4th floor anyway ><.
So me and one of our RNG's stayed in hopes of killing it, but all three of us died.
So the rest of the alliance decides after a rather long discussion to find the return stream and come back to us, but as like on the all the previous floors they catch aggro and the whole alliance gets wiped out.

Moral of this story:
Please, if you attempt any "missions" of this kind - Read up on the challenges ahead and be informed, make sure you have enough time to committ to it, have all the neccessary equipment and bring all the required items (eye drops, potions, food etc.).

If you do decide to go in unprepared you will not only be likely to fail yourself, but you also jeopardize the outcome for your fellow alliance members which is not fair to them since they most likely spent the time and gil in hopes of being successful at this mission. Smiley: smile

my advice is less rng and more mages to heal, and dont kite. we did better then all the other times, by just tanking it with 3 mages healing. smn used 2hr very early, and healed during the later parts when the tank usually dies.

we did 2hr slightly too early, we let them lose but the mob didnt die and his regen started outpacing our damage. then our tank ran out of hi pots soon after, so me and our rng started giving it all the WS and attacks we could, in the end my sharpshot regharging just in time saved us. but had the smn used astral flow when me and the rng 2hr-ed, and would have had to rest mp, we would have died again.

Neera, that sounds sooooooo familiar. My last trip thru holla wer burned thru to floor 4, and on the way one, ONE! person didn't make it thru the 3->4 stream. We all headed down to him and then got royaly raped when we found a memrec in a rather bad spot. Let me put it this way, when melee from my party are trapped in AoE range and are out of my casting range...things go downhill fast.

I guess I'll tack on a little call for help here, I still need to do ALL 3 of these. I always end up in the party that loses a person or whatever and don't get to fight. I've only fought once and died miserably cause we didn't know what we were up against. I have all 3 anima handy and such, I just need a GOOD group to go with. I can go as WHM or BLM, BLM preferred

i had those same problems the first 5 or so times tried promyvions, corr was with me most of those times. what i did, and advise everyone else to do, it form a somewhat perminant promyvion PT.
i was having similar problems with the random pick up people always either being complete idiots and causing us to lose people before we got to the spire, or not being properly prepared and getting us killed at the NM.
i was completly tired of loser noobs thinking it was ok not to buy the things we told everyone they needed, and causing us to lose(you would think people would get the pictire that your wasting more gil by buying only half of whats needed and dieing every time, then buying everything once and winning. if you cant afford everything, and stay home instead of getting your whole pt killed)

so starting after me and eilurac beat mea, we had the same Pt of me(Atrox), eilurac, jeryhn, arkenstone as our tank. we did have to pick a whm up each time, but we got a rng to stay with us for all 3 tries at holla.
it worked much better, when you can go in confident that your tank has enough hi potions, and he is backed by 2 mages who are properly prepared with ethers, drinks, and the knowledge of whats going on.

i suggest you all who are posting here, form a pt together, and leave all the others to form the other pt's in the alliance. every single time we failed at the NM, it was due to someone being unprepared or not understanding the battle plan. by keeping as many expiranced people in pt's together as possible, you have the 1 unexpiranced PT fail alone instead of all 3 failing because each had 1 or 2 people who wearnt prepared, in whatever way, to win the battle.

Hey Tekkub and Kyndryn ^^

I think I just might have Promyvion-Dem run in me tonight.

I'll see if the rest of team Thrilla has anything planned tonight when get online.
I would really like to get Dem done before the weekend since I'm gonna be helping with Corrderio's Holla climb Saturday or Sunday.

I think Dem would be a good "start" for you as well Tekkub, since the NM is the easiest of all three. That way you will have at least one of them done.
