Hello, this is not a rant and not trying to put anyone down, but I just wanted to share a Bad experience that I have with a warrior that goes by the name of Bothorn (Linkshell Union who also happens to have a pearl to my Linkshell WST)while I was having some fun trying to get to lvl 57 last nite at Cape terrigan.

Everything is going very smoothly, I started party at 15275/20000 and within about 1 1/2 hr i had my lvl since the exp we were getting from crabs and pugs was about 130-160, thats why it was taking so long to get that lil' exp; the party setup is usually the same Me 56 Pal/Warr, Daedstars 56 Rdm/Whm, Mollug 56 Thf/Nin, Doomblade 58 Rng/Nin, Tenkaitema 57 WHM/??? (1st time he partied with us so I'm not sure of his sub) and Bothorn 57 Warr/Nin.

Party was doing good, I died at the entrance of Kuftal Tunnel outside while fighting Manticores and Anticans while waiting for our Rng killing time, it happens that an antican casted Tonado on me and hit me for 803 Dmg while I was gonna spam a cure to wake up our Warr that got sleep by the ant and BAM!! JUST LIKE THAT tORNADO=803 and I was a dead paladin lol.

Now going back to the reason of the post this is what happpened, The warr BOTHORN, hit lvl 58, we are not done saying the usual, gratzzzzzzz, praise etc when he logoff no explanation, no nothing, just logoff, now some of you might say that he maybe D/C'ed but the night before I was out due to my internet connection being so slow and my sp partied with him and they tell me that he did the same thing as soon as he got to lvl 57 he was gone, no explanation or warning, and to me that's too much of a coincindence, so if you know him let him know, and see what he had to say for himself, cause in my opinion is a real bad coincidence that as soon as you lvl you D/C, so the rest of us stayed so that our red mage could hit lvl 57 since she was like 400 exp points shy of it.

To me is not the fact that he left, but the fact that he did it without warning or explaining why, not that you have to, but at least as a courtesy to the other players in case that a replacement is needed.

I might be wrong but let me know if you agreed with me or not.

As far as I see it you only have 2 excuses for something like that...

A.) RL emergency/situaton or whatever...
B.) Connection Errors and can't log back in

It doesn't take much effort to tell people early "Hey! I have to be going after leveling." or "I have to be going in 20 mins or so."
I feel like I'm repeating myself><.... Anyways... I don't know the guy so who knows....maybe he did/didn't have an excuse though it DOES seem like he just ditched you guys anyways.

yes this does happen and it does suck, whenever i lead a pt i always tell everyone to give me a fair 15-30 mins warning if ya gotta go.

but there will always be idiots!

I'm glad I got an SP recently...honestly, now that I think about it..like all members, we've all gone through hell...and there are just people who are lazy enough to log/warp/teleport just because he/she got their level without even a knotice.

But the way I look at it when things like that happen is, "meh"...Goodluck with the rest of your adventurers and /salute to a fellow PLD^^

Did you check the chat log? He could have said he had to go when he levels. He might have said it in battle.
I know I check the battle party talk a lot because they fly by so fast. (Even with filters, unless you filter everything)

If not, if he leveled and left without any advance warning, that's a shame. But again, I've rested and d/c'd before. My DC is very rare, but when it happens, it can cancel my game plans for hours. I D/C'd in Yhoator, after resting in Tuhtunga due to gob train, D/C'd tried to reconnect for a half hour before giving up and going to bed.

So you can't always assume the worst. But alas, when it happens, it sucks major. Maybe he was being a major jerk. In that case, I hope you find better people to party with.

I've been seeing alot of that lately.. not a good thing to do, because you eventually get a VERY bad name for yourself.

I had a problem the other night and couldnt get back on for almost 15 minutes, I figured if I couldnt get back on, Id log on to the net and use the play on line friend list and have one of my friends send a message to a party member...

I try to tell my parties ahead of time how long I plan to party.
