I've had this puppy sitting around ever since I finished the quest it's used for. But, the dominant element in my MH is water (not lightning), so my Moghancement is fishing, not the experience that the bed gives.

So, I'm wondering: is it worth keeping if I'm not getting the experience Moghancement, or should I just sell it and recover some of my gil on it?

When I added new stuff to my Mog House, I found some things took over my bed's Experience Moghancement. You can always try to remove something that is causing that fishing bonus.

I'd sell it whether or not you were getting the Moghancement Experience. I just got one for 98 K, and as soon as I complete the quest, I'll be selling it right back and using a Bronze bed for when I want the Exp Moghancement.

As far as I can tell, there is no difference in the exp saved as far as which beds you are using. Unless you like the looks of the Noble's bed (I must admit its pretty nice looking) sell it and use the money for something else.

What about renting it??

Thats the last bed I need.

I'm gung ho about renting out merchandise.

I'd rather pay someone 5k to borrow an item like this over night, then to buy the item, and then have it sit out there on the AH forever and a day.

I think people would make a killing on renting beds.

especially if you do it through the forum with folks you know.

I know I wouldn't stiff you out of the bed for fear that my name would be slammed into the ground

just an idea..

How much are the items that the silly mog needs for this?

way cheap (well if you ignore the cost of the bed of course), the most expensive piece is the wool cap wich I think is like 14k (it's been a while since I looked at the price)

As much as I would love for people to rent out stuff it's pretty hard to do so. I'm all for the idea but is more about the trust issues. I don't know....perhaps some colladeral along with some gil? Or pay the full amount for it and when you get your item back you keep a certain precetage if the gil? Blah...I'm talking out of my *** too. I'd definetly rent something out like that just to finish some quest though^^

Thanks for the suggestions, all. I'm not too worried about the Moghancements Experience or Fishing, as it'll be back to Gardening as soon as I finish with another piece.

Oh, Mattea: it's on it's way. Don't worry about a renters fee, or anything like that. As long as I've got something you can use, you're more than welcome to use it.

Wow... that was just totally a suggestion, but I apprecaite it.

I know folks in my LS do stuff like that all the time, (now, I dont know if they pay back with intrest or not, but I do know folks do this a lot)

I'm one of those sensitive types, so you have nothing to worry about me... I'd never want to hear anyone speak bad of me, and if they did I'd rather have them tell me in person so I can right the wrong :-)

I guess we have our own little Tenshodo going on ^^

I had some friends that, when we all started together, we did this a lot. It saved a lot of gil. Since they've all moved on, though, I kind of forgot about this as an option. I'm glad you reminded me of it.

OK, I admit it...I have no idea what you mean by this, but I'll trust that it's a good thing. Smiley: laugh

Yup, definately. I've looked for you and the others during the short periods that I've been on the last few days, but no dice.

I'll try to log on around 7:00pm CST, if that works for you. I'm in Windy Woods again, so I'll need to catch a Choco if you're somewhere else. Just let me know what time works best for you, and I'll work around it.

Jute--
You can also get a pearl from me, but I won't be on tonight. If you don't get one by tomorrow night, /tell me.

LHWarlock--
Can I rent your bed, too? I just bought the Mahogany one last night and am waiting for the Sunday update to get the quest. It should be back in the AH by Sunday night, unless someone else needs it....

Jute: I looked for you until about 10:30pm EST, and am guessing that the election delayed you. I'll look for you again tonight, or, as Nyruu said, you can get a pearl from him.

Nyruu: Sure. When Mattea's done with it, either he can send it to you, or I will, once it's returned.

Mattea: Again, you're welcome. When you're done with it, you can either send it back to me, or send it on to Nyruu to use.

you have completed the first 2 moogle quests right?

The quest works as follows

Bed needs to be setup prior to Sunday's conquest Talley (JP's Midnight, which is 11 am Sunday Morning est)

After tally starts you can go to ANY mog house in ANY city and the mog will start his sob story about how he needs to bring presents to his family. You trade him the items and he says he goes bye bye. (He doesn't really go anywhere)
Monday after midnight JP time (same as above) Moogle says his deal about how he brought you a new present.

end of story, get rid of bed.

I can vouch for all of this as Last weekend I was in Jeuno and popped in my mog house for a bit and forgot the mahogany bed was set up... the moogle did his story time right there in Jeuno.
Monday when I logged in he did story time and new safe in Jeuno as well.

You're mog just hates you probably. I gave my mog all sorts of toys to play with. A stationairy set, a book holder, a thing of hay, and his favorite... a cosmetics kit.
I came home one day to find my mog all decked out in make up singing "I Am What I Am"
My Mog loves me :-)

LMAO, if that were true I'd buy the cosmetics kit just to see that one. No I had no problems doing the first two, it's just this last one that's fighting me. That's a bad moogle. *Slaps moogle*

Hey Leetfade,
maybe you're lacking fame in your home city? I think for the last moogle quest pretty high fame (if not hero fame) is required to trigger the quest.

Hrm *cough* *cough* LHW, I am also in need of the Noble's Bed. Could I join the "secret Bed-Tenshodo" clan and borrow it from you? ^^

In return if anybody needs to borrow a Mahogany Bed - I could supply that for community use for friends and LS ....

Smiley: laugh Sure, Neera, no problem.

Ok, just to recap, the order of the Tenshodo is:

Mattea ==> Nyruu ==> Neera ==> ???.

At this rate, I may get it back around Christmas. Smiley: lol

Thank you so much LHW,

if you need any help with missons and stuff - be sure to send me a tell in game. If I'm not busy with helping someone else or in an XP party, I'll gladly help.

Oh and you just earned free teleports for life as well^^ (not that I charge friends or LS anyways, lol).
