Halo2, who's getting it?Follow

I'm just curious to see how many familiar faces I'm going to see on Halo2. Originally I was planning on just playing it every once in awhile, but lately, I'm not so sure.

I'm so tired of the petty bickering and all the BS that this game has become. If someone whines or acts like an idiot on Halo, you shoot them. :-) No HNM stealing, no farming, no gil sellers. I fell in love with FFXI a long time ago but it's become disheartening to see that some people enjoy conflict and bashing more than playing the game we all love.

My monk will still level to 75, eventually. If my SP gets over their BS then I'll still be on quite a bit. If not, you'll see me LFG before too long, but not as often. I guess time will tell.

If you are getting Halo and you're someone I am in contact with here, make sure to give me you GamerTag so I can place a plasma grenade on your back. LoL. For the record, mine is LeetFadeDDC. Don't ask about the DDC, it's a long story. See you all soon, in Vana or in the combat zone. :-)

I feel your pain for the SP too....I'm just ready to level and play with whoever whenever. It's a lot less stressful trust me!

Well if everyone doesn't drop their BS, I will be lfg soon. I'm almost to the level where EVERYONE wants a monk. I would hate for it to come to that because I love our SP. I understood you leaving cuz of all your rl stuff coming up, but we got a good person to fill in too. There is no reason for everyone to be acting like they are. Damn you genkai!

LoL. Whoever rated me down for this post just proved my point. THank you.
#5 Nov 09 2004 at 11:01 AM Rating: Decent
lol

I didnt rate u down

But I understand what you're sayin totally. I've been actually quite surprised cause everytime I'm lfp I get an invite within an hour or two. I think I'm gonna start becoming one of those dudes that fishes 24x7 unless I get an invite. But being a RNG and getting invites has been no problem whatsoever and I've been surprised most people have had pretty well developed groups.

I dunno Leet I really miss the days when we were in WST together and it was basically you, me, Star, and Kowala all leveling up together. It wasn't a "Static Party" but we were all just kinda around the same level and whoever was on we just partied with. I'm kinda getting that feeling now that I have gone outside the SP to party with people. I've met a lot of pretty good players and am having a good time again. It's kinda refreshing actually, although I do miss playin with you fellas a lot too. It's good to have variety! I've met a lot of new nice people I didn't know before that can also help me with Genkai and AF and all that garbage!

I never got to pt with star ><. She's always been a good 3 levels ahead of me. Only time I did was doing g1 with WST and I just really sat there in awe at how a mithra was doing SO much more damage then me. ><. No worries though, I'm doing my damage now. LoL. I've killed more Lichs then I care to think about.

I definitely miss the days when leveling was "fun" and not so much of a job. There are definitely good days where we do have some fun, but not enough. We chain too well, and get such good exp that there's no reason to not relax and enjoy it. We'll see what today brings I guess. I think post g1 we'll be ok if everyone lightens up.

it's funny how this thread turned into a 2 person dialogue. ;)

anyhow, what's the BS about? other SPs probably encountered it before, or will be encountering (mine for one has had a hiccup or two).

i like random parties. sometimes, at least. it's very refreshing to go back once in awhile to pt with others, esepecially if you're a job that doesn't take forever to get into a pt.

specifically, i've been trying to get people to recognize mnks for their DoT abilities. proved it to citrine recently in a beetle battle at garlaige. told her in free time to add up all the dmg she dealt and our illustrious drk's too. she did at least 100 more normal dmg than the drk, not counting raging fist's 300 odd. she was shocked herself. but at least she knows her worth as a mnk now. :) hope the rest of the pt got the picture though.

yes people, i'm on a save-the-mnks campaign! you mnks out there, better start making yourself more noticeable in pts! remember, humility and patience goes a long way!

Yeah it was a 2 man dialogue there for awhile. :-/ And it's COMPLETELY off topic. LoL. /em points to thread title. Oh well. I'm always for pushing through the hard times but when I'm hearing from every direction, if this doesn't happen I quit, it's disheartening. It's even worse when you're in a pt capable of easily getting around 5k exp per hour.

As for monks, remind me to slap Citrine next time I see her. :-) I can't say much though I guess, I think EVERY monk goes through the questioning stage in the 30s - early 40s. Now with my new addition of Kick Attacks I find myself just loving my monk. With WAR subbed it's just insane. Double attack is VERY nice. :-)

I don't know, maybe the answer is to have everyone party solo for a level or two and then see what they think. Who knows. :-/

What's this about me getting slapped? :-)

I toyed around with the idea of switching main jobs, but the other job that I enjoy seems to not get alot of invites either, or so I've heard. But I've decided to stay with the job I like most. :)

Back to the original topic.... my roommate got it - does that count?

LoL yeah I guess so Citrine. I took my break from FFXI last night and played Halo. Good game, but I doubt it will keep me off of FFXI. It's a good change every once in awhile.

I definitely say stick Monk out though. :-)

How was halo 2? A guy in another one of my LS's told me it was more like Halo 1.5

He didn't like it and beat the entire thing in a day.

Enthuz! Saaavvveee meeee!!!
The whole viarety is a must. Even if I had an SP I'd probably take some time to myself and do other **** once in a while. Usually when things start getting too intense.....which usually happens. Hell, there's times where I'll be completely off all LSes, PTs and put myself in invisible status for weeks just....cause.

I didn't really like H1 but H2 seems to be worthwhile. I'm in need of another console system. My PS2 broke :(...woe is me...*emo tear*

Well if you bought Halo2 for the offline 1 player game, I feel sorry for you. I bought it for the online, 16 player, jump in a warthog with 2 of your friends and mow down the enemies game. That's fun! :-) I also like stealing a banshee, hitting the boosters going straight up, then dive bombing all the snipers. LoL. And the energy sword, awesome. Come at me with a sniper rifle, I'll cut ya. :ob. Yeah online it's fun, but I would be disappointed if I bought it for offline. And btw clock, tell your friend to take it off the I'm a wuss novice level. It does get harder. LoL

EDIT:
On a side note, playing Halo2 for a night has got me ready to dive back into FFXI. :-) That nice mindless break of endless slaughtering refreshed my interest in what can be a monotonous grind of "required" tasks. (F'n G1)

OFF SUBJECT:

Desnia's already past 50. >< i consider that saved. :p the shadow levels are 30-40 no?

SP's are interesting, but i just was reminded the meaning of my SP just two to three nights ago: to level a sub-main job that we were mildly interested in. we were going to go 2 nights a week, then we realized that the timings were rather horrendous, and that one person is almost always asleep. the pt still functions though, on a 4-player-6-characters basis. i hijacked craya's blm and cruelfate hijacks reiden's pld. it was ... almost hilarious. :p but not recommended, mind. ><

hence, we're back to once a week to tone down the leveling frenzy, and instead have more time to do other things we wanna do. e.g. get level 50 for my pld (dammit) and my genkai items. it kinda sucks to be the meatshield always. >< but oh well. might as well be a good one.

OK I just got Halo 2, and it is really sweet...even though im playing it on a 25 inch screen without even stereo sound...im lovin it :) the single player is cool, but if you arent going to play multiplayer, dont get it. Halo 2 is all about the multiplayer.
