Here you go Leet, this should help, they are actually really old tunes, except for the Vanadiel one, since playing the game i have taken a long break from making music.

Well, when I got brought onto this server back in May, I had been playing a Tarutaru whm on another server, so I thought I'd try something else, plain old Hume (going for paladin of course). I wanted to use Bastian for a number of reasons..Neverending Story reference..'Bastian' of faith, and so on, but it was already taken.

After playing around with a few names, I found out Dougie, a nickname of mine, was untaken. But it didn't really fit any of the Humes I saw, however...it's just the sort of name a Tarutaru would have ^_^ Looking back I realize it just must've been fate, as I love playing a Tarutaru, I don't think I'd have it any other way.

well, if it's pronounced: "Dug-E" then I can see it being a hume's name... if it's "Doo-Gi" then I can see it being a taru's name.

lol I do not want to even tell how I come up with my name. My main character (Amanada) and 2 out of 4 of mules are randomly generated name orz

It just turn out I love the random name Amanada, and I stick with that name.

The 2 mules that I do use a "real" name is
Farah (a namco game character name)
Stormwind (a meteorology name for a meteorologist player XD)

Both Farah and Stormwind are based in Windurst to store my crafting materials and gear, if you see them around, it is me.

I had wanted to go and create a name on my own and make it sound RPGish, so I sat in front of my for a good while until I did this:

I took my name (Carlos) and my then-girlfriend's name (Julie) and reversed them, making Solrac and Eiluj. Just snapped off the two halves rac and Eilu and made Eilurac (pronounced Eee- loo-rac). Yeah, kinda dorky of me at the time, and just plain weird now, but it seemed to work very well and has since stuck as a nickname for me.

Don't have a good story behind my name. Citrine is just a jemstone that I kinda like. Someone had once told me that it symbolized strength, but I've been doing a bit of research lately on it, and have found that's not true. Instead it is associated with lightheartedness and cheerfulness, and is said to banish thoughts of evil from the mind.

So... maybe I can help to bring some cheerfulness to Vana'diel :)

elaryan: what my elven name would be in lord of the rings. (how geeky is that)
muzizi: it's a place in uganda. Saw it and had to have it.

When I started the game I wanted to choose some slick Spanish name, so I looked at a Spanish-English dictionary, found how to say "Strong" (it fit me as a Galka who punches anything he sees) and typed it in.

Unfortunately "Fuerte" was taken, so I added an s and I've been "Fuertes" since. I think it sounds better with the S anyways. :P

Ahh, an excellent topic Chinqlinq. I simply wish that I had more of a story behind my name.
Back when I picked up Elder Scrolls: Morrowind for my XBox, I just threw in my regular name. Bore-o-rama. Luckily, I was only about an hour into the game, so I decided to start over with a new name. I wanted something that would fit, but could come up with nothing in my mind, so I pop onto the good ol' interwebs and punch "random name generator" into google. 30 minutes later and after browsing through about 200 or so generated names, I see Elondil.
"Has a nice ring to it" I says to myself. My wood elf in Morrowind was complete. Ever since Elondil has been my first choice for fantasy themed names.
Something of interest though. First off, I admit that I never actaully read Tolkien's work, I've just seen the movies. I keep telling myself that I will, but work / other usually boring obligations always seem to interfere. Anyways, I was looking for something to watch on TV, and settled on Return of the King for a few minutes. I think it was the part right before Aragon, Gimli & Legolas head into the ghost tunnel (whatever, I can't remember) and someone said "Elondal" I believe it was. I wouldn't have even noticed if not for the fact that I had the captioning turned on. I guess that isn't really that interesting, since the name generator I used was Tolkien based, but it was still kind of neat.
Wow, I sure wrote alot for not really saying much, how?

i got my name, Yourmom, from some sci-fi, anime, AOL name that i got back in elementary school...yeah...hehe.
nah, actually thought it would be funny using it while playing halo, for the obvious lame middle school joke "you killed yourmom" etc.
people still get a kick out of it still, though theyve become fewer and far between and, needless to say, the jokes gone for me now but im kinda stuck w/ it hehe.
keepin w/ the immaturaty theme for names, i have a mule named "Mikeoxafloppin," courtesy of a friend in HS. (wont see him around much...afeared of gettin him deleted for having and obscene name hehe). we had a sub one day and my friend said that was his name...she didnt get it. i just thought it creative and adopted it (also named my cat that i disected in anat that)
another mule named feo...spanish for ugly. just wanted something short and simple and cool-ish for a taru, even if you didnt know what it meant.
one of my RL friends name is Chazoo which is a generic fruit roll up thingy distributed by Aldi's (food store around chicago..dont know if its regionaly or not, hence the explanation). he also made a mule named boobsmcgee (dunno why..elvaan fem) and Provokebot which he lvled war up a bit and planned on campin NMs for fun. chaz has gone the way of WoW now (sell out -_-) so send him a nasty gram if he's on your /flist hehe...he'll be back eventually.

Well... names...

Aliiyah - Ali is my main and my most beloved. First, it's not from the R & B singer Aaliyah pronounced (Uh - lee - uh). It's the girl's name in Dune - Paul's little sister. Just spelled it differently (and I *thought* more phonetically...) pronounced (All - ee - uh)...

Mules:

Hilea - Hawiian city

Trinady - from Matrix...

Tachikoma - if you like "Ghost in the Shell" (anime) there is a series now and Tachikomas (pronounced Tach-komas) are these blue rolling robot machine things that help fight.

Jayded - Deep personal meaning... thought of it while listening to Jaded by Aerosmith.

Aliisarmorbiach - well... he's my bald tattoo-headed hume armor holding slave for Ali... hehehe!

My (new) character's name, Laesha, is taken from a Guy Gavriel Kay book. She's a minor character who mostly appears so she can be slaughtered by the forces of evil. She doesn't do much other than die. =) I like the sound of it, mostly, it looks all fantasy-ish and I think there's some kind of sick irony there somewhere.

My (new) mule, Pinippy, is a name that I just pulled out of my ear. I don't know. Seems okay for a Taru name. It occurred to me after I had her all loaded up with stuff that, since she lives in San d'Oria and is a Taru, she should have been Spy! But it would probably have been taken anyway.

And my other mule, Nimphrodel, is just a tribute to my late character, Nimphrodel. ^.^ They even look exactly alike. All that's missing is 27 levels of THF and all of my hard work on fame in several cities. Her name was something I pulled out of the back of my brain that probably came from, er, Nimrodel? Or is it Nimlodel? The river in LOTR, I forget. Which is awful, I've been reading those books since I was eight.

When I first got the game, I started thinking of names a couple days earlier.. I had a hand full of names to choose from, but none of them had the ring that Valrooge did ;\. So I started from scratch untill I got the perfect name for the job I wanted to be, and When I got the game, I knew I wanted to be a ranger. I dont know why, but Valrooge kind of had that ranger ring to it when picking a name, so I just stuck with it.

Well mine is very simple. Warf has 17 years of history behind it. Although spelled wrong, the original is Worf. However, it was taken. So, anyone that has seen Star Trek The Next Generation, knows who I am. Give me the crinkled forhead, and a darker complection and you have the Klingon Worf, Chief Security Officer of the Starship Enterprise NCC-1701-D :D

Yes I'm a dork, get over it.

Hullo!

Well, my first impulse when I made my character was to use my Standard Internet Name, Oni no Maggie. But I wanted something different...

I made up Shabet out of random syllables (it's pronounced sh'BET, rhymes with Tibet, not sorbet or habit). I liked it cos it sounds definitely female, and slightly Hebrew...I don't know why that was important to me, I am female but not Jewish. Go fig. But when I thought of the name, I got this image of a family lighting candles to welcome in the Sabbath, and it was so warm and evocative that I didn't really have the option of turning it down!

My first mule is Janelle, she's a BLM Taru in Windy. I picked that name just cos I liked it.

My second mule is Mumonseki, a MNK Galka in San d'Oria. I wanted to encourage my husband to play, and I needed a Sandy mule, so I let him pick the race and name. IIRC he got it from a Lone Wolf and Cub issue, and it means "Wall without a gate".

My last mule (just made yesterday) is an Elvaan WAR female in Bastok named Lioness. I don't like the name much, and I may cancel the char and re-make it. I wanted it to be Lionheart, but that was taken...if I'd thought a bit harder I would have tried Courdeleon, or even the more interesting-to-look-at Lyonesse. I wanted something fierce and Warrioriffic, though I doubt I'll play her much.

Well, time to tell the interesting story of my names! WOOT!

First, the super un-origional sheppard!

Sheppards my last name, wow, im creative eh?

Mule 1: Chewbacca!

If you dont know who chewbacca is, then i commend you for living without electricity for the past 27 years >.>, lol
i found the name fit my warrior galka though.

and the only name i actually made!

Mule 2: Rumfro!

Rumfro made it's first appearance during summer-school(yes, ima flunkie so SHHH) when i had to wright a story for english.

Rumfro was a magical hobo, who could create fire, and hamburgers, out of thin air when and wherever he wanted.
the story has some great battle scenes with the evil **** pirate gang (from bob the ball) and a few others :).

Maclean: I picked my last name, this is my main character

Thickandmeaty: Galka Red Mage mule in Bastok, went with this one since Fatsausage wasn't allowed

Walter: Used to be a taru mule in bastok that moved to sandy, now a Galka Mule in Sandy, couldn't stand the perspective of a taru even though they are so cute. I've just always like this name for some reason.
