Where's the next zone after Quicksand?
48 seems to be the nerf level for Spiders and Beetles.
I heard back to Garlaige, but wasn't sure.

hmmm, at this level i found it really hard to find a good zone to xp because the xp drops off at very inconvenient levels. I usually did Quicksands from 45-46(47) then did rumble crawlers to 48-49 i think xp gets bad at 49. Then you can either go to garlaige or quicksands in west altepa. When i leveled my bard i did quicksands and on my whm i did garlaige and to do garlaige at 48-49 you need a really good party. mine was nin, 2x rng whm,brd, blm and that is probably the reason it was good, i dont think a paladin could have been so successful at that level in garlaige. quicksands however is very nice for a paladin. After that people do kuftal but i liked the helm beetles in C nest till 54-55 because crabs suck. also at 53-54 you can do spiders in boyahda. then its more crabs and crap although king ranps tomb is an alternative from 53-56 i hear.
enter quicksands from west altepa. The beetles on that side are a little tougher.
Also can start making pt's for garlige citadel I belive around this
lvl. Down stairs near the serket camp get in the big cave and pull bats or beetles. I do know I was here at 49 becasue I remeber seeing warf lvl and switch to his I.M gear.
I also remember I hit 50 in quicksand caves. There are some lizards in a zone there that noone ever camps also. just make sure someone has stona to cure the petrify from them.

52-54 Kuftal- robber crabs
54-56 Boyahda tree- robber crabs and knight crawlers

thats what ive done too so far, worked good for me.
in garlaige the serket did appear one night and there were 3 parties with ours fightin and the damn things AOE attack killed everyone but me, so i spent about 20 minutes raising peeps face down in the bottom of garlaige citadel , lol
but garlaige is a great place to level with a good pt, just watch out for the serkets once a day appearance!

also Mattea, Garlaige doesnt suck half as bad as back in the noob levels >< 32-35 era.
Actually, I found a new party and did Antican's last night after you went to dinner Matt... started droppin 188 to 240, I got lvl 46, but yea, I think it was the 48 and 49 killing the exp.
As for the mobs:

We were fighting Helm Beetles and Anticans in Quicksand higher level than those mobs. It actually looks like a good place to go now would be Sea Serpant Grotto. But that's just my opinion after looking thru the book.

After logging I didnt get to bed till after midnight and woke up late this morning. ACK!!
I'll be back on around 6/7 pm tonight hopeing to find a party to get me to 47. If I can get to 48 by Friday it will be SMOOTH SAILING!!!!!!!

and a valkyrie mask
and some leaping boots
and a sniper ring
(other hand is jealous, it wants one too)
and a life belt.. (well I think I already bought that in hopes of making 48 this week)
