Leaving for WoWFollow

Well it has happened i started playing WoW. Thing is I don’t want to leave ffxi either. Both games are fun, and both games IMO have their ups and downs.

Here is my take on the WoW experience. WoW is more of like a rewarding MMORPG game not much of a time sink hole as FFXI. In a sense that if you log on you WILL accomplish a mission, you WILL get rewarded for finding new things (example: EXP, Money, Items to name a few), you WILL not get penalized for dying except that you have to find your body and it takes away from your play time a bit. The battles never take forever to finish off a mob nor is it to short, the game is pretty well balanced where you can relax and actually enjoy the game without getting pissed at it.

Bad thing I hate about WoW as some of you stated doesn't give much of a challenge, It was created for the CASUAL gamer that cannot put in a lot of time. Why is that a bad thing? Cause some people actually like putting time and effort to get something, instead of breezing through.

I look at WoW as being a MMORPG in a class of its own. There are no other MMORPGS out there that give you a refreshing feeling that you will be rewarded with almost everything you do. Don’t bash WoW give it a chance. I did and damn its fun!

As For FFXI I cannot quit this game, it has a special bond to me and has made me realize adventuring does not have to be a lonely one. It also gave me a chance to learn about patience.

Though FFXI is somewhat a time sink I don’t mind at all. Because within this time sink I can adventure, chat with friends whom I have made in game, I can run on a mission, go party up and meet new people, and a slew of other things. It also gives that feeling of accomplishment when you took that long and hard road to get that special item you wanted.

To me my FFXI experience is most treasured there are so many things I have experienced in this MMORPG that others lack. I have met many friends, shared many adventures, heard the cries of victory, felt the agony of defeat, survived harsh missions for the glory, and accomplished many feats I thought impossible without the help of friends and their guidance. I have played FFXI since it came out in October of 2003 I have paid my dues, and yet others laugh when they find out my highest character is a lvl 58 taru taru RDM. I don’t look at FFXI as a boring and dragging game. I look at FFXI as a fine bottle of old aged wine, enjoy it and sip it slowly.

So in short FFXI for the challenge/ WoW when i get mad at ffxi or need to take a break ^_^

Sorry the post was so long, but honestly FFXI and WoW are both great games. After all thats the reason why we play them cause its fun!
