Always remember...Follow

#1 Dec 23 2004 at 12:01 AM Rating: Decent
Through all the things that have happened with your characters.
Through all the things you have accomplished.

Always remember one thing:
Why you are here. The reasons you are here. That thing that keeps you going when you are down for the count that makes you want to continue on. Never lose hold of that thing you desire the most, never lost sight of what you are running for.

Wheather it is friends, like myself and all mine, who have grown a truley great friendship.
Wheather it is just the future, you look forward to what more feats you can accomplish.
Power, who doesn't want it? Some of us desire this more than anything.
A secondary face is also nice to have, one where you are another person, a whole new world where you are not so defined by your true self.

Never lose that hope, else it will turn from a game to work. This work will then become less enjoyable, and you will slowly drift off from FFXI.
Those who level grind like crazy and loose site of their hopes, dreams, desires, will wind up with nothing.

Just a bit of a thought from the luney bard, to always remember those who keep you going.

To Obtain, You Must First Sacrifice Something Of Equal Value

~~That quote is from FullMetal Alchemist~~

Basically it IS the fact of life, along with the simple reasoning my buddy Sotaka has given us above. In order to obtain the best parts of this game we must work hard, strive and be confident in yourself and your friends who'll help you along your quest to exploration. You sacrifice your time, effort (and money to pay for the damn $12.95/month). to be able to furtherly explore an unreal world like vanadiel, to meet new people that live clear across the counrty (or world)., to learn virtues of confidence, courage, peace, anger, sadness, and all other emotions that come upon you as you play the game that we are oh-so addicted to. Indeed remember..... remember why you still continue to play....

That is sad to hear...

There are quite a few good people on cerberus, far too many to name off the top of my head to be honest. Many of these people I have become good friends with, and many of them did not just "Turn into ****s."

I'm sorry to hear you don't agree.

/cheer Sotaka!

I must agree! Even though a handful of my great friends, like Gnimelf and RickBlade have left the game/changed servers, I still move on. And even though you meet some crapheaded people out there, you just simply blist 'em, and move on with life.

For me, it's the hope to get to higher levels, and complete more quests. I wanna be able to say, "Been there, done that!" ^^

We're starting a non-profit organization called LARPG "Life After Roll Playing Games". We'll soon have a toll free number to help talk you down from your addiction. j/k :P

I know the reasons i still play FFXI.. and it's not just to get to 75 and "beat" the game. I've made quite a few good friends since the birth of my character. Some i feel as if i've always known. I will miss talking to these people if they leave the game. And i will miss all of the adventures we've taken on. But the great thing about life is, that memories exist long after the fact. Cherrish the memories and friends you've made! I know i will.
