Last night I succesfully lost I think my 20th promivion run. We had 3 rangers, 1 whm , 1 ninja , and 1 blm.

To date I have spent over 1 million gill on these damn things.

I used posion pots to keep from beeing slept, spamed hi-potions if HP was low, used holy water to cure debuffs, echo drops for silence. This all on top of lvling rng to 30 and ninja to 15 just to do this. buying noct +1 . acid bolts to weaken def, +1 bow and xbow.

I'd like to meet the little jp suker that made those NM's . I'd eagle eye shot his ***. Then start over with 100fist stacked on mighty strikes.

I can truly say *** promyvion whatever, I hate that ****, Im so mad i think ill go to WOW or sumin arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

For Holla, farm a Recollection of pain and fear, they'll save you a TON of hell, they help so the boss can't do regular and special attacks, after the boss did Emptiness Cutter, I used Invincible then both animas, after that, SMN uses Astral Flow with Shiva while Rangers used Eagle Eye Shot

Sup man! Well just to let you know, I'm in the process of researching these and then I'm going to organize some runs. You are obviously more than welcome to attend. I will be going as WAR/NIN and intend to farm recollections prior to each run. I know we have some RDMs, a couple RNGs, and a couple SMNs. Let me know if you're interested. :D

oh yeah.

What i found out with these missions is you really have to go with people you have played with before...Going with just a throwen together party is almost doubles your chances not to win. This is how i feel about them. I got them all done with my ls and when i did go with a throwen together grp we didnt even make it to spire(before the update). Youll be gald once you beat it though.....new areas look great^^.

My most succesful promyvion run went like this.
Party was SMN, SMN, SMN, RNG, WHM, PLD.

The RNG would widescan for Memory resepticles, on our way too the memory resepticles all party members where extremely careful.
For 1 party aggro on the 2nd 3rd and 4th floors mean death.

Once at the memory resepticles the summoners are to send there avatars after it allowing them too get all the hate from the strays, everyone then stands back and the RNG and the PLD pull strays and kill them one by one.
If they dont pull the strays off the avatars, if the avatars die, all the strays will all rush towards the person with the most hate.

While moving around floors 2-4 taking it easy is the biggest key too success, dont take too many risks.
If one person wants too move ahead of the group too scout ahead thats fine, but if this person gets aggro, he/she should find a safe place too die so the whm can raise him rather than put the whole party at risk. a BLM can come in handy in this sort of situation because of there ability too tractor a dead party member.
In some places getting aggro might be extremely hard too avoid, in such cases, follow the strategy above or if the party thinks they can take it, it is extremely important that it doesnt cause a link. finding a camp and having someone pull the enemy might also be a good choice.

For potions and food etc....
Melee should bring there standard food.
For mages yag drinks and pies are perticularly useful.
Every party member should bring either a reraise scroll or a potion.
A WHM should bring as many as possible. If the WHM dies without reraise on and there is no other WHM too raise, then its... GAME OVER.
You can only carry 1 reraise potion at a time but if its possible have party members keep them and trade them too the WHM once the other one has been used.
The reason for all party members too have a reraise potion is..
If on the encounter with the last enemy you die, but your party manages too kill him off, then you wont receive your key item. Have the party member who are alive tell you when its about too die then raise yourself and stay clear of the action till it is dead.

Ethers HI-Ethers and anything higher are extremely important for mages, so are potions and higher for melee.

The most effective way too kill the boss is too have the SMN use the 3 2h method, effectivly useing yag drinks and ethers allows a SMN too pull off there 2h 3 times draining a huge amount of the enemies MP, multiple SMN are therefor extremely effective. the SMN can also cure the tank consderably before activating there 2h.
A THF with high marksman or archery skill is also useful, when it comes too the final boss when teamed up with a paladin,
The THF will be the first too enter the room and grab hate, when on low HP the THF should 2h, once worn out the PLD should then provoke and take hate, the WHM and SMN(if possible) should cure the paladin for as long as possible but if the pld gets too low on HP of loses hate he/she should 2h and take it back.

Many different party will have better results but this is the one that was succeful for me.
Hope it helps

Hey algar, i'll help you out sometime if i'm not too too busy (i know thats like...never) but if you are lucky enough to find me when i'm bored i'll gladly give you a hand. When i did holla, I won with war/nin, war/nin, rng/nin, whm/blm (me), smn/whm, and blm/whm. We each has 1 anima of different kinds and they work pretty well. Mages help heal till its about 1/3-1/2 dead then start bustin out the 2 hrs and anima. No one came close to dying. I can come as whm,war/nin or give me a few hours in yhotar and my smn can go from 28 to 30 ^^

I would really like to go on some runs with you all. I have yet to make even one, but I've read up on how to do so and I think I can really help out.

The thing is - I'm on dial-up until January 9th. So even though I can play on dial-up, and have, I've elected to just take a break until I go back to college and get my broadband connection back at the apartment. So, if you're still doing some runs at that time, I would love to join in on the fun =D

This is my opinion only: but each promyvion I won had two smn and everyone else /nin. You dont even necessarily need a paladin as long as whoever tanks keeps the hate of the summoners and they get off at least two astral flows each. This strategy work for me on all three. But this is all just an opinion and what worked for me.^^

Well I think i'm about to beat my promy blues.

Got with a good group of guys on promyvion-mea from YF last night. We took only 6 people. It was 2RNG (me beeing one), 1 WAR/NIN, 1 SMN/WHM , 1 WHM/BLM , 1 BLM/WHM.

I'm not gonna go into step by step detail but. Everyone did an excellent job and we won with no deaths, used no anima, noone had shade armor on. And I dont think there where to many hi-potions used either.

I will say that it wasn't a all outdamage fest. Just well timed attack and great hate control. Hell I even disengauged once and synthed a pineapple juice ,lol. All in all we only had to unload on It's last 10% of HP. The rest of the time was just well timed attack and well placement of the RNG's. Awsome Healing job from the mages.

ALSO WE SAW : ALGAR DEAFEATS THE ????(what's it name)

put it like this. I will never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever go with a full allaince again. It was by far easier with 6 good players you know, having 18 increases your dumbass odds greatly.

We had no problems at all. on the last floor we buffed up and ran for the zone. The 1 pt was so much smoother going through
