Damn the prices are high...Follow

Im sure everyone on cerberus has noticed the Enourmous jump in prices over the pass month. It may be because of the gil sellers, it may not be. The update that SE put in for the Ah transaction fee seemed to make it worse lol. I mean when i bought my Electrum Hairpin 3 weeks ago it was 10k. Now i am trying to sell it for 24k?! Many other items have been enflamed like this. For instance Utsusemi Scrolls have never been higher, Emperors Hairpin is back up to 600k. What i am concerned about is that normal players, and players who are just beginning may not be able to experience the game the way they want to. I am not a poor player, although I am very upset about the economy.
Us Citizens of Cerberus need to do whatever possible to help the economy. I am not sure what but... well have to see
~I hope the economy wont crash lol

I really would like to hear what everyone has to say, because
this is a very important issue.

I think the new AH system does nothing more than raise the prices more at the AH. The intent was to remove some of the gil that is in the economy as there is too much already. If you know about economy, when you have too much currency, the currency ends up becoming worth less. Meanwhile, while the gil is worth less than it was months ago, the prices are being jacked up to "compensate" for the cost and/or fees of reselling the item.

In regards to the expensive items, sometimes someone may need to repost them on the AH a few times, and thus each time, trying to hike up the price to make back the gil lost from posting it and not selling it. I don't really see how SE is removing gil from the game if the player just gets the gil back by raising the price of the item even more.

Unfortunately, on that note, I can add that our economy would be fuxed one way or another... with or without SE's help... it is sad that quite a few players without quite as much time to devote to the game as others will not be able to enjoy it as much as those that devote 24/7 to leveling their character and/or farming gil... However, my bigger concern now isn't soo much gil sellers as it is character sellers. :(. We're starting to get more and more level 30-50 n00bs. These are people who've never played, don't know jack squat, and rather than leveling a job that the previous account owner has not yet leveled, they just jump in the highest level spot and act like they can play. :\.

This is not something I want to hear when I have been gone for about 3 weeks. I don't need things to be more expensive than they already are... >.< (Though some people give me crap about my being rich >.>)

Anyway, sorry to change the subject, but I saw Raku's name and had to do this:

Raku! It's me, Thelan. Still stuck in GA and bored out of my mind. I see that you are back, though. I am coming back in 4 days. I'll probably log on around 11:30 PM Pacific. Stay up a little later than usual and say hi, eh?
