Ah the ever popular thought that a "strong" linkshell
must be filled with nothing but level 75's
and anyone that is not level 75 should get there ASAP.
Who in the hell crated such a misconseption?
Don't get me wrong here..
Would it be nice to be max level and go wherever you want
and do whatever you want? yes.
Would it be nice to have access to Sky and all of the
other neat place? yes
BUT! somehow somewhere I must have gotten the fool idea in
my head that this game was about fun and meeting people.
An expression I remeber from somewhere it could be a movie
Tv or the back of the foot loops box.
"A trip is not a destination its the journey"
This basicly means for me at least that is not where your going
is who your going with.
I dont mean to toot my own horn but my linkshell is not
filled to the top with level 75's and godly levels and equipment
its filled with friends and people I have come to see as
family. We dont "rush" in leveling but that doesnt mean we
sit on our butts all day and just chat and BS either.
We level when we want, and we group together to
help one another. But its always fun.
Tuesday night for example a Sam on our linkshell needed to
kill 2 NM's for his AF boots. I spoke to my linkshell
(the ones who were online) and invited them all to come along
gave them 3 hours notice and off I went to do my own thing.
Three hours later we were all gathered in Valkrum.
Everyone that was online was there from level 75 to level 13
Did we need 16 people with that level spread to kill
those NM's? Nope. But it was fun, a chance for everyone to
be involved in something. To me this is what makes up a
"strong" linkshell not the places you can go and the levels
and equipment you have but the feeling of friendship
companionship and family.
Do I have a linkshell full of HNM campers? No.
Do I have a "strong" linkshell? Yes.
I encourage all who read this to think about your linkshell.
And no I am not recruiting via allakhazam boards.
I am simply offering a diffrent view of the way a linkshell
can be strong and perhaps sugesting you all take a closer
look at your linkshells and its priorities
see for yourself if your linkshell is the way you want it to be.
