Have you had the Offering to Uggalepih sitting in your MH for a while? Or maybe you've just been dreaming of getting them but just didn't know how? Well let's ring in the New Year in style...

For those that don't know Carbuncle Mitts are a rare/ex piece of gear for Summoners level 20 or above. On top of adding 14 mp to your maximum mp it approximately decreases the perpetutaion cost of Carbuncle in half. This is one of the pieces of gear that every well equiped Summoner wants to have.

On Sunday January 2nd, 2005 at 4:00 PM US/Pacific time I will be leading an expedition to acquire Carbuncle Mitts. You can participate by meeting the below requirements:

* Have a job of at least 50.

* Be able to bring at least 2 people with jobs 60+, or 1 person with a job 70+ (count yourself if you can bring a job above 60/70, you're welcome to bring more help if you can).

* Have the Offering of Uggalepih. This is not terribly easy to acquire so please start working on getting it as soon as possible. You can find details on how to get it here and here

* Be prepared to spend at least 2-3 hours to help everyone who comes.

* Contact me either here on Allakhazam or on FFXI letting me know the names of the characters you will be bringing and their jobs/levels. My character (Shefki) is temp logged out for the time being when I am not actively playing, feel free to send me a message and I'll respond when I am available.

Space will be on a first come first serve basis, provided you can bring characters/jobs/levels that help create balanced parties to win. Mitts will also be acquired in the order of response. The person who trades their Offering will be set to Quartermaster for their battle, they may choose to divide any additional drops (Light Spirit Pact sometimes) with their helpers or not.

Please do not respond if you can not meet the above requirements and if you have not verified that the help you're bringing can not be present for the entirety of the expedition. If you have any questions please feel free to post them to this thread so others can see the answers too.

Additionally, I'm looking for help between now and Saturday to acquire the Prelate Key to avoid having to wait to use the trick to get through the door without the key. Anyone interested in helping with that please also contact me.

Here's to hopefully a very Happy New Year's with Carbuncle Mitts.

I would LOVE to go with you, but I will have to wait for another group and another time.... <smile and sigh>

I only meet ONE of the requirements... I am a LV 55. I don't have any CLOSE friends that are 60+ (that I would feel comfortable asking to risk life and limb for me - they are more like acquaintances I wave to around the towns) and I also don't have the offering. <sigh> But, boy would I LOVE those mitts! I am enjoying SUM so very much and those will be a God's send!! I also have a few LS mates that are lower level in all jobs (not even 40) but were hoping to get those mitts too as they love and wish to pursue a career in SUM also, and I don't feel right leaving them behind if I should go. (Alii loves her LS mates!)

I will keep an eye out for future "mitt outings" though! Thanks for posting and best of luck to you all! Please be sure to post about how things went!! =^.^=

Thanks to all the people that came and tried to help. Sadly we never got a Prelate key so we never fought the NM at all...
