ok so I'm back from Vacation... had terrible DTs
not really.. nice to be away from ffxi

but anyway... if anyone feels like helping me with Genkai 1 I would appreciate it. Honestly I'd love to use it as a chance to party with some of you higher level folks that I only see on the database but never get to interact with.

I'll be on for the majority of the next 4 days Friday-Monday as well as tonight.

Just send me a tell if you're up for it. No pressure.. I won't feel unloved <puppy dog eyes>

Mattea, we have 2 or 3 others in the LS that need it also. It looks like it's time to schedule a LS G1 run ><. If you're on tonight we'll coordinate it and get it scheduled. I'm guessing we can do it this weekend if I can get some help for the sake of links in Eldieme.

If you see me on I'll be willing to help as well. Can't say I'm of any extreme high level, but I'll take some hits for ya.

can you alliance events like this?

Asking this in regards to other hunts such as Keys and Sub Job items

(although subjob items are easily obtained in lvling parties

Yep but it's generally a good idea not to have everyone congregate in one area thanks to the bones AOE drain attack. Best method if you've got lots of people is to split em up amongst the camp spots.

Since this sounds like it's going ot be a LS event for you (thanks to a good LS) you probably won't be subjected to too much whining but if you happen to roll with folks you don't know...Man they will ***** and moan. Of course this being quite possibly one of the biggest pains in the *** for this game probably has something to do with that =)

Yeah you can alliance. I've been involved in a couple WST key hunting PTs. Some say it increases your chance of a drop, some say decreases. I just say zone after every drop, it's worked for me without fail so far. *crosses fingers*

JackyBob, I'm most likely going to be leveling my 29WAR/NIN tonight with my whm, rng, and rdm friends from the LS. If you get to 28 or 29 let me know. I think they're at 30. We level in the jungle, but not on mandys or gobs. :-b

As far as the G1 items, I can solo the stupid Exo's, I did it for a 50BRD a week ago (ok so that was technically a "duo"), The bombs will only really mess me up if they explode early and I don't have TP for Shoulder Tackle (man I hate to see 1300 hp gone in one shot ><), but the linking and low HP aggro from those Fallen Soldiers just sucks.

I welcome anyone that wants to help (obviously) but to make it more fun for a PLD, I'll even challenge you to hold hate from me on the bones. :-b The only one to date that's done well at it is Scythe and I'm assuming it's because he was 5 levels higher than me at the time. LoL. You've got to make G1 fun some how. LoL. That's why Meign and I were having Raging Fists competitions in Garliage Citadel while hunting our coffers. The quest just sux ><.

One big hint I'll give about the necropolis... make sure you have healers. Last time I did this I was the only whm (I believe there was a rdm also) in a 2 party alliance and I was stressed. Between the numerous links, AoE attacks, status effects, hasting people, and only resting to 1/2 mp, that was not a few hours that I enjoyed. I also suggest going with people you know since when organized well, it isn't that bad. When it's badly organized, you debating if you should help the person who aggroed 3 mummies because he didn't bring sneak oils or the person getting hit with dimensional death because he decided to explore next to a Ka while at half life. -_-

That being said, if you do this either Saturday or Sunday and see me on, feel free to send me a /tell. I don't have any plans this weekend so I can probably help with healing (and maybe sneak in some club skill ups).

Yeah being unorganized in there is definite {Death}. I take people I know and trust only for the most part. Unless they are high enough level where they really don't get aggro. It's not a discriminatory thing, it's a {Death}{No thanks} thing. ;-)

I don't see any mummies or Kas where I go though so that helps a bit. I have to worry about an occasional hound or the link of a Fallen Soldier and that's about it.

First of all Thank You to Pharnum. He came out to Crawlers and helped me get my mold. (1 down 2 to go) It showed me why so many people dread genkai one runs. But thank you so much Pharnum (You too Lexine!)

Second NEZ! Where've you been hiding?

Third CONGRATZ AGAIN to Thrilla on lvl 75

Well its done and over.

Corrderio took me out through the Glacier to Batallia and then into Eldiene.

The papyrus was ours after the 5th kill.

Thank you so much for your sacrifice!

Thanks again to Thrilla and Pharnum. (Also to Elmininator and Dark for helping with Bomb Coal)

Mattea
