Deleveling Bug: A Short Story of KenjaFollow

#1 Dec 31 2004 at 5:18 PM Rating: Decent
I, Ruikoden, am part of a LS on Cerberus called "Chocobo Riders". Today Kenja, a 70 DRK/MNK (59 MNK) screemed for help from our linkshell. We hurrily asked him what had happened when he explained how stangely his level had fallen from 70 to 65 for no apparent reason. Now I tried to not believe this (since i had never seen his DRK, he is usually on his MNK nowadays) but there were several LS members who had indeed confirmed this. Kenja claimed that his stats had stayed the same yet his level appeared to be 65 under the "Status" window. Because of this Kenja has announced that he is going to quit the game. My question to you is: Have you ever heard or experienced anything as this and is there any way to correct it. I for one think that since his stats stayed the same there is just a glitch on his level display window. Anyway any comments would be nice. Thank you. /bow

Cheers!

If this is really true, having high stats at a low level would be an unfair advantage. I don't know why he's sad about it, except for that chance that he might be accused by a GM of cheating. In which case, the worst possible end would be to be forced to quit. But that is exactly what he wants. Sounds like a win-win situation.

Yeah grey, him and a bunch of other people on the link were talking about GMs alot before it happened. Maybe he was never lvl 70 and its all a big joke against me >.< But then again when he was crying his heart out all i would say is {Good Bye} over and over again. Guess that was kind of mean but seriously he should just level his monk and get over it. I mean his monk is lvl 59. Not that far behind.

dang if all his stat's are the same as a 70 drk, then he's only missing some spells and a WS right? I mean HP/MP are the same?? That sounds pretty bad *** to be as strong as a 70 drk at lvl 65...well unless he had lots of 66+ gear then that really sucks. If he lvls will his stat's increase? O.O

I wish that happend to me.... I'll become a lvl 10 blm and kill everything in sight while my friends or LS members can gimp the exp and lvl like crazy! =D

I dont see it much as a bad thing either but i guess its leveling those 5 levels that is pretty hard. I mean thats gata be like a month of work right? And what are you gana put in your search comment to make this work for you: "Lvl 65 DRK. Stats = 70 DRK. Insanely powerful due to glitch."

I've known kenja for a good while, i hope he doesnt quit.

I would have to say it would suck to have that happen. Sure, your stats might be higher, but 65-70 is a long road, and walking it again (even alil more powerful) would be a tiresome task.

Its kinda compareable to being lvl 50, then a glitch makes you lvl 20 (in terms of exp i would think, might even be a lower lvl then 20). Sure it would be fun for the first few levels, slicing everything up easy, that road seemingly a down hill run. But the fact remains, you gotta get back to 50 sometime. And as you go up your extra power diminishes (unless this makes him the equivlant of a lvl 80 char at lvl 75 which i doubt) so that road is still there, getting more an more up hill as you go.

I just hope he dont quit.

Talked to him today. Said he was trying to forget that he had a DRK and was leveling his MNK (lvl 59). Think he just needs some time to cool off.

He went from 70 to 65? Maybe the glitch was with his genkai quest? Maybe the game just decided that he didnt do it good enough or something and just knocked him down.

Wow that is pretty amazing. powers of a lvl 70 drk @ 65 kenja should realize the possibilities and try lvling it and see if the stats do increase.
