I bet it has something to do with an immature Superiority COmplex that everyone has or maybe it helps some people to think and/or prove to someone else that their better than them.
The rant topics just provide an outlet for people to try and prove that.

I just never got it. I mean what do they have to prove? all in the end i usually just avoided posts like that. Instead why cant they just give constructive critism where it is to help out rather then put down. Remember the dune days when everyone was new to pt concept, and didnt have the slightest clue how to actually play thier jobs till they where given ideas by other players, and accepted it at face value rather then took it as a insult?

I honostly think some people try and go for constructive criticism but then the person they are criticizing gets all insecure, and then it turns into the rutine argument.
People want other people to think well of them, some will deny it. And i have noticed that there are a lot of people in this game who think they are the Paragon of Excellence.
What better way to prove to these elitists that you are a competant player by diminstating to a FF11 community that you know the """"right"""" way to play your job.
